What type of attire is expected?

To help us maintain a cohesive and elegant feel for our celebration, we kindly request black tie optional attire to be worn at all times, to help us create a beautiful and memorable atmosphere on this special day! What does this mean? Black tie optional is a fusion between black-tie and formal fashion. You can wear a tuxedo or a floor-length evening gown if you want, but a dark suit with dress pants and nice loafers would be acceptable too. Please feel free to incorporate/wear cultural attire as well!

Are children invited?

While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults only ceremony and reception with an exception to those in the bridal party.

Can I bring a plus one?

It will be specified on your wedding invitation (which will be sent out in early 2026) how many people are invited per household. If you have any questions or need to clarify, do not hesitate to ask either of us.

If my guest can not make it- can I replace them?

We kindly ask that if you or your plus one cannot attend or make it to our wedding, you do not replace them or yourself with someone else.

What time should I arrive for the Ceremony?

The Ceremony will begin at 1:45pm at Saint Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church and Rectory. The attire is formal and seating is open, unless otherwise specified or reserved.

What time should I arrive for the reception?

Cocktail hour will begin at 5pm and go until 6pm. Please try to be present by 5pm as cocktail hour will only run for an hour and we want all of our guests to enjoy. If our guests arrive earlier, we ask that you wait near the parking lot where you can enjoy the beautiful and scenic CT River. Guests are not allowed inside the venue prior to when cocktail hour begins which is at 5pm. After this allotment of time, we will then transition into the reception which will begin at approximately 6pm and go until 11pm.

Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Yes! There will be a gap between the church ceremony and the reception. During this time, we invite you to explore state parks, coffee shops, pubs, or even take a quick power nap before the evening festivities begin!

Where should I park if I intend to drive for the ceremony and/or reception?

Ceremony: The Church will have spaces and an extra lot available for guests choosing to bring their own car. Carpooling to the ceremony also makes it easier to not worry about bringing too many cars. Reception: There is plenty of parking available in the Castle lot for our event.

Will there be shuttle services provided?

More information surrounding shuttle services will be available as we get closer to our event. As of now, transportation services will only be provided via shuttle from the hotel to Saint Clement's Castle and back when the festivities end.

When will we receive invitations?

Expect to receive invitations three-months prior to the wedding. They will go out January-February of 2026.

Gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution toward our future together would be sincerely appreciated. If you prefer a physical gift, we kindly ask that you have it shipped directly to our home to help us simplify transportation on the night of the wedding
