Our first date, Kris took a pic of the pizza. It's funny that we shared this tiny pizza and decided that would be enough for the TWO of us. lol

This was also our first date. We went to an open house of this historic home and there were so many cats around. Kris was convinced this one was blind, it was also sleepy. Can you even tell this is a cat?

Matthew asked Kris to be his girlfriend and then sent her these flowers for Valentine's Day! We were long distance during this time, Kris was at school in Kirksville and Matt was working in KC!

This might have been the first pic we ever took together? We were really bad at documenting our relationship... We were at the KC Zoo, it started to rain and the only option was a giraffe pancho.

We went apple picking! Kris burned a hole in her shirt at the s'mores station.

One year since our first date! Back to the same spot! Bigger pizza this time... thank goodness.

When we won the Super Bowl, Matthew and Kris drove around KC! Lots of honking at strangers and yelling out windows, but in a good way!

This was PEAK inside time. Matthew started shaving his head and we were having at home date nights!

Kris decided to join Matthew with the hair endeavors! Red hair dye!

Kris finally gets to graduate nursing school! Fun Fact: Matthew and Kris started dating right when Kris was deciding to change her major to nursing. Matthew was there to support the whole time! <3

We built a house together! It was small and made out of gingerbread, but we made it work.

This was taken in the elevator at our hotel in New Bern, NC! We found out during this trip that we LOVE North Carolina. Have you been? Would recommend!

Matthew was completing his first sprint triathlon! Kris obviously had to make tie-dye shirts. She only bought one pack of iron on letters and had to improvise on what the shirts would say. Another fun fact: using a flat iron to adhere the letters on to the t-shirt also works!

Matthew did so well! His race number was also the area code of his hometown, Wichita! Go Shockers!!!!

We bought our first house! We love it here :)

We went on a cruise! On this trip we learned that scopolamine patches make Kris really sleepy and Matthew does get seasick.

We ran the trolley run together! We definitely did not train for this and couldn't walk for a week.

We got kittens! Meet Shuri and Maddox, the light of our lives.

The cats became our personality. We were them for Halloween.

Went back to our first date pizza spot on our anniversary, since it's tradition. This time we were ENGAGED! See you at the wedding!
