Our Story

Our story begins as most couples in the modern era, ON THE INTERNET! We met through an online dating service. Rob opened up with a math pickup line, Kristen somehow found it funny enough to message him back. They hit it off great. Many great dates go by, Rob helps Kristen move into a new apartment. Normal dating stuff.

As many stories do, ours takes an unfortunate turn and Rob ends things. Fear not dear readers, for this is a wedding website, so obviously, there had to be a happy turn. Two and a half years goes by and Rob realizes how great Kristen actually was.

Rob messages Kristen and says that he was an idiot and he would at least like to talk. Kristen says the only way she will talk is with a bottle of Woodford Double Oaked. Rob brings the expensive bottle of bourbon and meets the most wonderful puppy in the world, Luke. Rob explains himself to Kristen, and thankfully this reasonable woman saw that at his heart, Rob is a good man. A dumb man, but what man isn't? Don't lie to me. If you a man, you know you dumb.

Things go well enough and an opportunity presents itself, moving in. Now what person would think moving in with someone after dating only for three or so months was a good idea? Well remember, this is the point where we got the band back together. So either this is going to work, or it's not. Here's the test.

Now, this was quite a test. This was a one-bedroom apartment with two people and a big dingo (Luke). Some people could roll their eyes right about now. But mind you, this was August of 2019 when we moved in together. The covid apocalypse hit in early 2020. So we go from living together in that small apartment when the world is normal, to living in a small apartment when the world shutdown.

The best part is that we got along great. Okay, like 95% of the time, but that's like a solid A on a grading scale. If things would go so well during this unprecedented time in modern history, the rest of our lives would be a cakewalk. Knowing this, Rob felt it was time to get engaged.

A proposal is a hard thing to do. Some opt for a grand surprise at a fancy restaurant, or at a big sporting event. Some like to a small and intimate proposal away from others. Rob went for a grand surprise at a small fancy restaurant. That's right folks, he proposed at the Waffle House in Little Rock off of Westchase Plaza.

Completely kidding. Rob knew Kristen liked hiking and they always talked about going our west. They planned a trip to Colorado, Rob took a trip to the Jewelry Store Right before. It was Tuesday, September 8th of 2020 when Rob proposed to Kristen at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. She said yes, and thus here we are.

Covid made things stupid difficult, we decided to do the wedding two years out in hopes of things being less chaotic. Things haven't been, but we're so glad to be here and are super happy to have you. Our special day this September is just one of many more to come. Come celebrate with us!
