Kristen & Phil

How cheesy do we want to make this? We met on a dating app… end of story.

But for those still itching for more, here is the unabridged version. As two people who do not consider themselves well versed in the new age dating scene; secretly two hopeless romantics who thought meeting your partner should happen organically. You know, at a bar trivia night when you both answer correctly to the question “What band sings the lyrics ‘I bless the rains down in Africa’”, lock eyes then slowly walk towards one another and embrace each other as long-lost…soulmates. You would think Chat GPT wrote this, but really it was all Phil; who is currently working on his first self-published, self-edited and self-financed romantic novel – “You like Push-Ups, Too”.

Now for the real story. We met on dating app at the very start of the pandemic. Our first “date” was a first for both of us, on FaceTime. We talked for over +7 hours about movies, music, family and friends, and Phil also thought this was a good time to test out every accent in his arsenal. It became very apparent to us over the course of our dating that we were easily the same person; we both speak in movie quotes, we both breakout into song and have a bias towards Classic Rock, and both will never shy away from a dance off.

Phil surprised Kristen (she hates surprises) with a proposal on a beach at sunset in front of their families. And truly, the rest is history. While we feel like an old married couple already, we are each other’s best friends, travel companions, and dance partners. We are extremely excited (and scared) to be the centers of attention for the evening but would be honored if you would join us on this happy occasion.
