2016
Jason & I met through Nadia who happens to be my best friend since kindergarten. She had been dating Jason’s older brother & her & I lived 5 hours from eachother at the time so visits to go see her caused Jason & I to cross paths.
2016
When Jason asked me to be his girlfriend I was playing hard to get at the time & told Jason “sorry, I don’t do long distance this would never work.” He had just been laid off so his answer immediately was “ok then I guess I’m moving to Laredo with you.” That weekend he left his life in Clute & drove 5 hours to start the unknown with me in Laredo. Talk about taking a leap of faith, we did exactly that. We were young & dumb and honestly didn’t know what the future held for either one of us but we did it, we just jumped.
2017
A year later Jason & I both decided Houston was home for us, I grew up in Richwood my whole life with my mom & his family still resided in Clute, but both my parents at the time were living in Laredo so leaving the both of them was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I trusted that Jason was going to take care of me and never let me go without. I think my parents had that confidence in him as well.
2018
6 months after moving from Laredo Jason busted his butt working over time and I got a job with the City of Lake jackson and we signed a lease on our first apartment together. When I say we had NOTHING we literally had nothing! 2 spoons, 2 plates, & maybe 2 Cups. But we made it work, we didn’t care we had a place to call our own.
2019
We announced we were expecting our first baby together!

Our lives changed forever, the world was shutting down but ours was just getting started. It was no longer about Jason & I but about him. I thought I could never love Jason more then I already did but seeing him as a father made me fall that much harder. We were meant to be parents to this little boy, he couldn’t have come at a more perfect time in our life❤️
2023
8 Years, 8 LONG years later Jason proposed in Cancun on our way back from Isla Mujeres. I said “yes” and “it’s about damn time” all at the same time!
2024
We finally get to say “ I do” Cancer made 2023 a very challenging year for our little family, but I thank god every day for giving Jason and I this obstacle along with many others to jump through together, most couples vow to “in sickness and in health” the day of their wedding, but we’ve made that promise to each other along time ago. We now know if we can get through what’s been thrown at us this past year we can make it through anything as long as we have each other.
