It all started when Kristen and her father Dale attended a Sales Training event in the summer of 2021 for Walker Mowers. Alexander was working there at a dinner for the guests, Kristen saw him from across the room and instantly had a huge crush on him. Alexander never saw her though, he was just busy working. The next day, Alexander happened to talk to Dale and found out he was from Lufkin, which was about an hour and half south of LeTourneau University in Longview where he attends school. Dale told Kristen about Alexander and she ended up finding his social media and reaching out. We started talking, but the relationship didn't go anywhere at first.
October of the next year, Alexander reached out to Kristen again when he saw her post on social media about her visiting Kentucky. It was the boots and bell bottoms that did it for him. We started talking every day after that and had our first date together that November 2022. We had a couple more dates that winter before Alexander had to leave for Colorado again. When Alexander returned to Texas for the next school semester, he asked her to be his girlfriend on the 7th of January.
We had lots of fun dates and fell more in love every day spent together. Alexander grew closer to Kristen's family in Lufkin after visiting so many times. Kristen has been able to spend time with Alexander's family when visiting Colorado with him. They had to spend a large part of the summer apart when Alexander took a job traveling the country to work in the oil field. The time apart was hard, but we felt even stronger that we loved each other deeply and wanted to spend our lives together.
So, with much prayer, preparation, and love, Alexander proposed to Kristen on October 21, 2023. She said YES!!! The wedding planning begins! We are so excited to be engaged and to start our lives together this coming June. We are so thankful and appreciate all our family and friends that have supported us and grown with us through our relationship.
