Kristen and Brandon have known each other since they were wee lads...aka the 7th grade. Although they had different friend groups and interests, they were both involved in the school band. Brandon played the trombone and Kristen played the Alto Sax. It was during their time in band that they would first meet and first develop a what would be a decade long friendship.

Juicy detail #1 - ...what really happened was that Kristen had a crush on Brandon, but she was obviously too afraid to tell him. So she instead formed a relationship with Brandon's best friend in a poorly veiled attempt at making Brandon jealous. However, that did not work. And Brandon ended up dating Kristen's best friend. Oh, what a tangled (and very dramatic) web they wove!

The two remained friends throughout both Middle and High school and even attempted several times to be in a relationship with one another. Alas, the timing was just not right and all efforts failed. It wasn't until after Kristen came back to Dallas after having been away at school that the final attempt actually stuck.

Juicy detail #2 - Brandon tried several times to get Kristen to go out on a date with him, but Kristen (being the stubborn headed woman that she is) skillfully ignored his requests for approximately 3 weeks. Good thing she eventually got her act together, right?!

Kristen and Brandon began dating in the summer of 2013. While the status of their relationship had officially changed, they find it important to maintain the feisty nature and spontaneity of their friendship. Brandon proposed at their home in June of 2015 and the couple has been [slowly] planning their special day since then.

Juicy detail #3 - the proposal...LOL...a story we can't put in writing but let us assure you...juicy is an understatement.
