Yes! If you are in town the night before the wedding (Friday, June 10), we would love to see you for cocktails at The Landing at Bowen's Wharf in Newport at 9 p.m. or after.

Formal - Gowns or formal cocktail dresses and suits. Dress to impress! We want everyone to feel fancy but still comfortable in the June weather.

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The cocktail hour will be outside in a courtyard.

Yes, there will be an unoffical after party upstairs at the Viking’s hotel lobby bar after the reception ends. Cash bar!

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head to the cocktail area where we will be serving appetizers and beverages at 4 p.m. It’s a 3-minute walk from the chapel to cocktail area.

Unfortunately no, you will have to find your own transportation from the wedding venue to where you are staying. Fortunately, most hotels and rented housing is within walking distance, or a quick drive/Uber ride from the Hotel Viking.

Yes. The ceremony and reception are both at the same venue. The ceremony is held in a separate chapel behind the hotel. There is no need to travel between locations as it’s just a quick 2-3 minute walk from each building.

Yes, we will be having a full open bar during the cocktail hour and reception. There will be tip jars for the bartenders.

The Hotel Viking has day and overnight parking. If you are a guest at the hotel and are parking overnight, the parking rate is $40 and will be billed to your room. If you're staying elsewhere and want to use the Viking's lot for the event, the parking date rate is $10. If you are staying at one of our other hotel blocks/another hotel/house, feel free to Uber or walk to the venue. June is in Newport's "in season," so street parking and lots are all metered.
