The story of Kristen and Soren started in May of 2023 when a traveling healthcare worker went from Wisconsin to New Hampshire. In Wisconsin, Soren worked in the laboratory along with going back to school. At the hospital, a new traveling phlebotomist was brought in to help the staff and developed a good work relation with everyone.

After the travelers initial contract, she decided to go to New Hampshire for a new travel position and ended up at the hospital Kristen worked at. Neither Kristen nor Soren knew it at the time, but soon this phlebotomist would change their worlds entirely. Due to being great friends with her original phlebotomy crew in Wisconsin, the traveler flew back to visit her friends. There, Soren was invited out with the group of friends and pestered about his dating life by the traveler.

He was asked how the dating scene was going for him, and he said terrible. The traveler then told Soren that she had the "perfect girl" back east that she knows he would love. Soren gave her his number for her to give Kristen once she returned to New Hampshire.

A week went by after the traveler returned to New Hampshire before Kristen sent the first message. Instantly Kristen and Soren connected, learning they had many things in common. They both learned they were involved in sports, both loved hockey, both knew how to play instruments, and both worked in the laboratory.

It was an instant connection and the two became inseparable. They would text and call each other each daily. Facetiming each other became a common occurrence and each felt more and more connected with each other as the days grew. Within a few weeks Soren bought a plane ticket to fly out to Boston to finally meet his newfound love.

They spent the next whole day in Boston exploring the city and enjoying the food. Then the following days Kristen brought Soren to Vermont, where she lived, so Soren could see the mountains and views. Soren loved New England and quickly felt more in love with Kristen too.

Soren flew back to Wisconsin a few days later, but soon bought another ticket to go back out. On his second journey back, Kristen wanted to come back to Wisconsin with him. Excited, both of them loaded up her dog Ollie and anything that would fit in her Toyota, known as Ronda, and headed home to Wisconsin.

They spent a whole day driving- literally 22 hours straight- crossing many states, most of which are extremely flat. Once in Wisconsin, they found an apartment where they moved in together and settled in Green Bay.

After exploring much of Wisconsin, a favorite area was easily defined by the mountainous views of Rib Mountain. Soren proposed at this beautiful location in January.
