A couple of years ago, my co-workers at the RiverDogs and dear friends, Melissa and Haley, and I were on our lunch break at Taco Boy when Gray walked in with some of his co-workers after participating in the Day of Caring Campaign (so philanthropic). Gray had interned with the RiverDogs during college so he walked up to say hi to Melissa. Melissa introduced us and we found out Gray was working the Louie's Kids Softball Tournament that would be held at our stadium a few months later. Our staff became close with those working on the event and we all would meet up to grab happy hour about once a month after the event concluded to catch up. We became great friends and then our friends became friends so we saw a lot more of each other. After a year and a half of friend-zoning each other, Gray and I went to Royal American (one of our favorite dive bars) one afternoon and split a burger, chili and a pitcher of beer -- and the rest, as they say, is history.

I first saw Kristen my sophomore year of college when we had the same biology class. Being the smooth guy that I am, I decided to take things slow. So, 6 years later I worked out an opportunity to be introduced to her. Next thing you know, 2 years after that, we were dating and the rest is history.
