It all started at Cahaba Brewery, where what was supposed to be a casual first date somehow turned into a lengthy marathon of talking, laughing, and pretending we didn’t notice the sun setting. Time completely got away from us — and when we finally realized the date was supposed to be over, neither of us wanted it to be. So, naturally, we decided to keep hanging out (because clearly, sleep was optional that night). We talked about everything under the sun - literally.

From that day on, it felt like we’d known each other forever. Kristi tried to play it cool (she’ll admit she was a tough nut to crack), but Zayne’s patience and charm eventually won her over.

Since then, life together has been a mix of adventure, laughter, with the addition of Zayne's "I need something sweet" mixed in with Kristi's consistent yawns. We’ve road-tripped to the beach, wandered through Denver, soaked up sunsets at Smith Lake more times than we can count, gone to concerts, gotten our hands dirty making pottery, and even explored the rolling hills of Tuscany.

We’ve also walked through some tough moments hand-in-hand, always choosing kindness, understanding, and patience — even when one of us (no names mentioned) was tired and cranky. Through it all, we’ve learned that love isn’t just about the big moments — it’s in the everyday laughter, late-night talks, and the comfort of knowing you’ve found your person.

We feel so lucky to have each other and to be surrounded by incredible friends and family who have cheered us on every step of the way. The adventures ahead are endless — and we can’t wait to keep building our story, one laugh at a time.
