Gods plan is always perfect and sometimes its as simple as putting two people growing up together at the same church. That is where this love story begins. Two kids, Kristi and Alex, growing up side by side and although they were around each other a lot, they really never became close friends. When they were fifteen Kristi moved to Missouri with her parents to help a pastor friend plant a new church in the St. Louis area. Alex visited Missouri the summer of 2016 for a youth group trip to help with the church plant, and during that time Kristi made trips back to Ohio every March for RTTC. During these many trips Alex and Kristi would talk to one another but once the other left they didnt keep in contact.

Fast forward to 2020, in a world with Covid, and isolation Kristi decided to make a profile on a Christian dating app to meet new friends in her area, and 280 miles away, unbeknownst to her, Alex had also created a account on the same app. A couple of months later, somehow Alexs profile came across on Kristis feed and she thought it would be funny to see if he recognized her so, she swiped right! A few days later Kristis profile came on Alexs feed and he also swiped right as he DID recognize her.

On March 15, 2021 Alex messaged Kristi through the app. They quickly exchanged numbers, snapchats and started talking a lot. From there the feelings grew, Kristi made a trip to Ohio that April to visit her friend Suzy and to see Alex.

After that trip, it was clear there was something new brewing between them. Many trips to Ohio were made by Kristi and vice versa as Alex made trips to Indiana, and their love grew for each other. Kristi and Alex dated long distance for over a year before Alex, with help from friends and family, popped the question!
