Our Wedding

Anthony and Kristi met at orientation for graduate school at Samuel Merritt. Anthony was instantly smitten with Kristi and wanted to get to know her better but started in the friend zone. As the school year went on, they were in the same study group and would spend hours together during the week. Anthony would often sleep on the couch at Kristi and her roommates' apartment over the weekends. Towards the end of the school year, their relationship started to evolve into something more as Kristi realized that she had feelings for Anthony too. Over the past 5 years, they have been together through many different life changes. From graduating from physical therapy school, to starting their first "adult" jobs, and moving in together in a new city. They have built a life together and have continued to maintain that initial strong foundation of friendship throughout their relationship. They are so excited to get married in Graeagle! Graeagle is a special place for our families, as Kristi's grandparents met there, and her parents were engaged there. Kristi and Anthony share a love of nature, therefore when Anthony suggested Graeagle as a possible wedding venue, it seemed like it was meant to be. They look forward to spending the weekend together with family and friends to celebrate the beginning of their married life.

The wedding ceremony will start at 4pm. Dress code is semi-formal. Ceremony and reception will be on lawn and woodchips, please choose footwear accordingly. The ceremony and reception to follow will be at Twenty Mile House. We are planning on having a shuttle service that will pick up from multiple locations in the area. Check back later for more information on the exact time and location of pick up. There is limited parking available on site.

Saturday

Let's keep the celebration going! We are planning on doing a floating day in the Feather river that runs behind the Twenty Mile House property. Feel free to meet us at Camp Layman at 12pm if you are floating. If you would prefer to lounge on a beach near the river, you can meet at Twenty Mile House. Please bring inner tubes, your swimsuit, and water shoes....or a lawn chair if not floating! We will have a few extra inner tubes and will have an air pump to set them up immediately prior to floating.   Directions: Drive up to the bridge at Two Rivers or the bridge at Camp Layman along Highway 70 back towards Graeagle and inner tube right down to the Twenty Mile House.

Just a 20 minutes drive away, offers beautiful hiking trails and fascinating mining history. Enjoy Eureka Lake or hike up Eureka Peak for beautiful views of the surrounding area

Plumas-Eureka State Park

About a 20-minute drive away at elevations of 6,500' to8,000’, the Lakes Basin Recreation Area is home to over40 natural alpine lakes and 11,000 acres of wilderness,streams and trails including the Pacific Crest. Hike into thelower lakes for a less strenuous day or spend the dayexploring the higher elevation alpine lakes such asbeautiful Rock Lake and Jamison Lake. You can also hikeup Mt Elwell at an elevation of 7818’.
