Things to Do In St. Augustine

St. Augustine is full of places that have been special to us over the years. There are so many fun things to do, and we hope you will get the chance to spend some time enjoying this beautiful and historic city! Here are our favorite spots:

St. Augustine Beach: Enjoy a beach day in St. Augustine Beach! A perfect day includes grabbing a delicious California Burrito at Burrito Works Taco Shop and a water ice at Rita's. Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine: Where our ceremony will be and a place where we have shared many special memories. National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre De Dios: Our favorite place in St. Augustine! A peaceful and historic place that has meant so much to us from our early days spending time together to the day of our engagement. It was the site of the first Mass in 1587 and holds the historic chapel dedicated to Our Lady of La Leche built in 1609. Also home to the iconic Great Cross! Castillo de San Marcos National Monument: &nbsp;The oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. It is a National Monument, more than 327 years old, and is the oldest structure in St. Augustine. Lightner Museum: This is where we had our senior prom. It's also a beautiful building that's worth a walk-around even if you don't go inside! St. Augustine Alligator Farm: Can't come to Florida without seeing an alligator! A classic spot to take guests who visit from near and far. St. Augustine Lighthouse: If you're looking for a beautiful view of St. Augustine and Matanzas Bay! Fountain of Youth: Drink from the magical waters discovered by Ponce de Leon, enjoy the grounds, hear the cannons, and grab a drink at one of our favorite spots, Fountain of Juice! Flagler College: What was once a fancy hotel owned by railroad mogul Henry Flagler is now a beautiful college that looks a little like Hogwarts. Old Towne Trolley Tours: A classic tourist activity, you'll see these cute trolleys all around town and it's a great way to see it all if you can't get Dominic to give you one of his iconic walking tours ;) St. Augustine Ghost Tours: Several different companies host ghost tours around St. Augustine from just fun-scary to real scary, you'll learn about all the secrets of the old town. Marineland: Swim with dolphins! Need I say more?

Places to Eat

Some of our favorite spots for a snack or a meal in the area if you're looking for a bite before the wedding festivities begin:

Coffee &amp; Breakfast DOS Coffee &amp; Wine: Our go-to meet up spot and coffee stop! Kookaburra: A classic St. Augustine coffee spot. Fountain of Juice: Old Florida vibes on beautiful Magnolia Street. Conveniently located if you wanna drink from the Fountain of Youth after your coffee or smoothie! Schmagel's Bagels: You may have to wait in line but perfect if you're downtown and craving a bagel. The Blue Hen: Perfect for a full breakfast or brunch! Lunch or Dinner Burrito Works Taco Shop: Get a California Burrito! There's a shop in St. Augustine Beach and downtown. We're partial to the St. Aug Beach location but you can't go wrong. Pizza Time: St. Augustinians love to say this place has some of the best pizza in the USA. We'll let you be the judge, but don't forget to bring cash! Mojo's Tacos: Hard tacos wrapped in soft tacos - genius! Casa Maya Mexican Restaurant: We ate here the night we got engaged. Good vibes, good food, good memories! Tacos My Blessing: We've already given you too many taco reccs but this one is a food truck so fun vibes. Dessert Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar: Dominic's pick is the Key Lime Pie Milkshake and you know Kristia's getting a chocolate shake! Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops: A St. Augustine staple! Creme de la Cocoa: Fancy bakery with delicious pastries and desserts. We personally love the almond croissants!

Drinks Tini Martini: 5 minute walk from the Cathedral and right across from Matanzas Bay! River &amp; Fort: Check out the rooftop with a view of the Bay and the Fort! Tipsy Duck Parlor: Go just for the experience and the souvenir - a rubber duck in every drink! Prohibition Kitchen: 1920s-themed pub that's a good choice if you're also looking for a meal.
