Nick and Kristin first crossed paths in the charming town of Buena Vista, Colorado. It was one of those moments that felt orchestrated just for them. Both made last-minute decisions to move to BV—Nick to continue his rafting career on the Arkansas River and Kristin, in search of new adventure. Kristin landed a job in BV at a local café, through a friend of a friend, and as fate would have it, she ended up working alongside one of Nick’s friends from back east.


That mutual friend invited Nick and Kristin out for drinks at a local bar, River Runner Riverside Bar & Grill. He likes to joke that when they met, his hair was longer than Kristin’s and his shorts were shorter. Much like Kristin and Nick’s journey, their first date was anything but conventional—Nick took Kristin on a thrilling class 4 rafting trip on The Numbers. She was nervous, but Nick, ever the gentleman, didn’t let her put a paddle in the water and gave her the “Princess” treatment. The photo above was actually from their first date!!


What started as an adventurous romance has now evolved into a beautiful partnership. From those early days on the river, they’ve been on a journey together, navigating the highs and lows with love and laughter! Nick and Kristin both have a zest for life, whether it’s playing or watching sports, embracing new culinary experiences, or road-tripping across the country to go boating, hiking, or camping. These two are always up for something new and exciting. They really do love savoring the thrill of new adventures together and spending time with their people.


In addition to exploring together over the past few years, they have also accomplished many beautiful milestones. Kristin started her successful photography business, Nicholas graduated with a Culinary Arts & Operations diploma, and most recently, they moved back across the country to Georgia to be closer to family and friends on the East Coast. Jointly and individually, they have big goals for the future and can’t wait to continue crushing them together!


Their journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and they can’t wait to celebrate their upcoming Big Day with you, the most important people in their lives.
