BELOW I HAVE WRITTEN SOME INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET HERE, IN CASE THERE ARE FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US DIRECTLY :)
WE HAVE CHOSEN TO ONLY RECOMMEND ONE PLACE TO STAY THAT IS LOCATED WITHIN A 10 MINUTE DRIVE TO OUR PLACE, THIS IS TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR US TO HELP WITH THE LOGISTICS. HOWEVER, YOU ARE OF COURSE MORE THAN WELCOME TO STAY WHEREVER YOU WISH!
Some of you have already been to Sweden before, but for those of you that haven't the easiest way to get to us is to make your way to Stockholm. The easiest way to find flights is probably by skyscanner or googleflights.
Arlanda(ARN) is the international airport and will most likely be the airport you land in if you come from abroad. There are some flights to Gotland from this airport but they are not very frequent so if you can get a connecting flight straight from Arlanda to Gotland we suggest to grab it!
Now for those of you who don't already know this, we live on an island called Gotland. You can either get here by:
1. Airplane (30min)
2. Ferry (3,5hrs)
There are two airports in Stockholm that will bring you to Gotland. Arlanda and Bromma. The ferry leaves from the Nynäshamn port roughly 1 hour busride south of Stockholm city. The bus can be added on while booking your boat tickets!
If you did not manage to get a flight from Arlanda to Gotland, do not fret! From Bromma airport you can find BRA airlines that will bring you to and from the island several times a day. It is located about 40min car drive from Arlanda airport so if you land at Arlanda with an international flight and with no connecting flight from Arlanda you will have to make your way to Bromma (or stay in Stockholm a few days for some sightseeing!)
The cheapest way to get to Bromma from Arlanda is to take a bus from Arlanda to the city terminal and from there another bus to Bromma (Flygbussarna.se). Another alternative is to take local transport but this is a bit more complex but with googlemaps very doable for the adventurous type ;)
Destination Gotland is the only boat company that travels to and from the island. This is almost always the cheapest way to get to the island. The ferry ride takes roughly 3,5hrs and you can bring a car onboard if you wish! If you do not wish to bring a car there is a bus that brings you to the boat from the city center that can be booked as an add on to you boat ticket.
Gåsen Out is a cozy accommodation with rooms and apartments located in Burgsvik in southern Gotland. We are happy to advise you on activities and places that are worth a visit in the area, all to ensure that you get the best experience here at Storsudret. When you're done hiking, biking, swimming and exploring southern Gotland, this is where you recover...or if you have more left to give; try our padel courts
