Hi! I am the Bride :) Kristin, daughter of Maria Kubat & Dan Kubat. I am the step-daughter of Cheryl Rizzo-Kubat and grand-daughter of Josephine Noto. I am the most amazing sister in the whole world to Dan, Nick, and Ryan. Also, not to mention the most fun Aunt EVERRR to Jacob, Hannah, Haley, and Katie <3

I am working in Operations at e.l.f. Cosmetics, out of our NJ office. I am also a Board Member at the Hasbrouck Heights Learning Center, focusing on Social Media and Marketing. I love the beach, country music, and naps!

This chapter of my life I am about to enter with the love of my life, is the most exciting adventure I have ever been on. I am so happy that you all can be a part of it!

Hi, I am Derek. I am the third child of Roger & Valerie Busico. I am the younger brother to Chris and Sabrina. My grandparents, Marie & Edward Landshof, and Raymond & Irene Busico, have all passed on but I feel them with me everyday. I am SUPER AWESOME Uncle to Cameron, Ari, Ariana, Landon, and Makenna.

I work from my home office as a VP in Technology for Citibank. Like Kristin, I am also a Board Member at the Hasbrouck Heights Learning Center working on the website and technology. In my free time I like to relax but playing video games and doing genealogy research. I am also a Scottish Rite Freemason, out of Euclid Lodge in Hasbrouck Heights and Ocean Lodge in Spring Lake.

I can't wait to marry the girl of my dreams!

We met in Kindergarten at Washington School in Little Ferry at the ripe old age of 5. We went from K-7 together, sometimes in the same class, as well as CCD at St. Margaret's . Derek's family moved to South Jersey in the summer between 7th and 8th grade. Kristin went on to Bergen Academies then to Ramapo College in Mahwah for Undergrad in Marketing, then NJCU for Masters work Education. Derek went on to Colts Neck High School and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, for Undergrad and Masters.

All through these years one of Kristin's college roommates (Meagan) lived literally down the road from Derek in Freehold. It wasn't until 2015 that we reconnected, thanks to the internet, that we learned our paths had probably crossed numerous times since the 7th grade.

We started chatting in mid- January of 2015, and went on our first date after a snow storm on January 24th. Pretty sure we both knew that night what was happening, it was like the 15 years of disconnect and distance meant nothing. On January 30th we became a couple.

On our 3rd Anniversary, Derek made arrangements for a romantic dinner on the Hudson at Fleming's Steak House in Edgewater (official steakhouse of the New York Giants :) ) Even though the extreme cold and gale force winds would have been a deterrent for most people, we took a walk along the water in Weehawken, where we visit often (close to our Weehawken apartment), and exchanged our first I Love You's years earlier. Just as we became completely numb from the cold, Derek dropped to one knee a presented me with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, oh yea...and ask me to marry him! As if the proposal wasn't emotional enough, once we made it back to the heated car, he proceed to explain that he designed this ring himself, along with his fellow Mason Brother, who is one of the top jewelers in NYC. I was completely blown away by the entire night, but learning that this was created for me and only me, completely put the icing on the cake. I truly believe that we were made for each other, so it only makes sense :)
