It was love at first sight. Initially, it was just a glimpse that Ben caught in the corner of his eye. Then, eagerly searching through all the people crowded at the bar, he spotted the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen: a lukewarm plate of nachos at Tin Lizzy's. Kristin was there too. As were several other of their college friends.

Like many great relationships, Ben and Kristin started off as friends. They met in their freshman dorm at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Over time, their bond grew into something more. As Kristin grew accustomed to eating more tacos and cheering for the Broncos, Ben took up activities like hiking and watching reality TV, both enjoying each other's company more than anything else.

Eventually, Ben asked Kristin on their first date. He spent an afternoon in the Whole Foods kitchen learning how to make a pizza from scratch. Although the pizza they made later that night turned out inedible and their first date ended in a desperate call to Dominos (and perhaps a firetruck), they made a pact: each year since, on the anniversary of their first date, they make a pizza together. And each year the pizza turns out better and better...

And the rest is history...
