In the sweltering summer of July 2019, Kristin, a rural girl, and Steven, a city boy, were introduced to each other by a mutual friend over brunch at Goody Boy in the Short North of Columbus. Later that night Steven approached Kristin asking if she'd like to go on a date to Lindey's, a local upscale restaurant, to which Kristin misheard and replied with, "Oh, I LOOOVE Wendy's!" Right then and there, Steven knew she was the one.

While our first date did not end up being at Lindey's or Wendy's, we did visit many Columbus restaurants for our first few dates and even ventured up to Cleveland, his hometown, where Steven introduced Kristin to the Cleveland Browns (particularly the Muni Lot), the Cleveland Indians, and the Flats. Kristin then got to show Steven Versailles and the famous Poultry Days or as he calls it, "Chicken Fest," where he arrived equipped with a cowboy hat and a scorpion belt buckle, attempting to fit in. To his chagrin, he was the only person who dressed like a champion bull rider.

Throughout the years of dating, Steven and Kristin very quickly made Nantucket, Massachusetts a staple of their summer vacations, which grew to hold a special place in their hearts. It was so special that Steven decided he wanted to propose on their 2023 vacation on July 1st at their favorite lighthouse on the island, Sankaty Lighthouse.

As they say the rest is history! We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends this fall. Country meets City; City meets Country!
