Kevin and Kristin met in the Spring of 2022, and after many converasations about their careers, values, life goals, common interests, their love for sports and Mizzou, but most importantly a mutual hatred for the University of kansas, they decided to set their first date.

Kevin suggested Thursday - April 29th - which was the first night of the NFL Draft. Kristin, not knowing how much of a NFL Draft enthusiast Kevin was/is yet, she suggested grabbing a beer to watch the first round together at Granfalloon on the Plaza. They joke that Kevin fell in love at that moment - because if you know Kevin, you know how much time he spends watching college football and keeping up with where those rookies end up, especially if they're a stud wide receiver who could end up on the Rams.

After five hours of talking, smiling, laughing, and Kevin asking Kristin on a second date half way through the first, they said their goodbyes for the evening and proceeded to spend the rest of the weekend together. Kristin and Kevin quickly realized they had found in each other everything they had ever wanted and more. And the rest as they say, was history.

Fast forward to December 24th of 2022. During the drive to see Kevin's family in St. Louis, he reminded Kristin of his dad's request a few months back for a picture of the two of them at the Historic Columns on Mizzou's campus. It was a crisp 15º on Christmas Eve, however Kristin agreed to head to the Columns to take the photo, completely unaware of the plans Kevin had up his sleeve ( or more specifically, the ring in his coat pocket).

As they were walking up to the Columns, Kristin was focused on the details and asked Kevin if he thought they could get all of Columns in the shot. The next thing she knew Kevin was down on a knee with the most beautiful ring, asking her to marry him. She cried, all but yelled yes, and they left their Alma Mater engaged!

Kristin and Kevin can't wait to start the next chapter of their lives together surrounded by their loved ones.
