By the aggressive encouragement of a dear friend, Kristin signed up for the Bumble dating app on January 12, 2023. Enter Dave - bikes! pizza! cute face! and cats??

Kristin had never done the whole dating app thing and Dave was the first (and only) man she reached out to. Dave replied quickly and they chatted on the app for hours. After two days of online texting, they decided they should have an actual verbal conversation. So, Kristin called. And they ended up talking for 10 hours in just one day! And that ended in setting up a date for the next day.

On January 15th they met in Larsen to walk on the Wiouwash Trail. That walk turned into a 7-mile hike on the icy terrain. They had a lovely time and decided they would continue talking.

Kristin would secretly wait with a beating heart for that daily emoji wave text that Dave would send when he woke up. He never missed a day! They talked every day – several times per day and went on a few more dates – you guessed it – Pizza and Bikes!

They then decided to go on their first "weekend getaway". In February they went to Marquette to ride fat bikes. Kristin had never rode in conditions like she did that weekend, but Dave's patience and encouragement was stellar. The weekend was like heaven and when it ended, neither of them wanted to leave one another. So, Kristin picked up her dog and work computer and returned to Dave’s to stay another day. That day turned into weeks and then months.

Of course, friends and family were cautious as things were moving fast. But they knew. They knew that day on the trail.

Dave had an employee looking to buy a house in Appleton and arranged for him to look at Kristin’s house. Sold! on spot.

It was just that easy.

Two imperfect strangers quickly became perfect best friends – devoted, supportive, loyal, authentic, and forever committed to one another. ❤️🤵👰
