A Game Night To Remember

Kristina's side of the love story:

Game nights were something fairly common in our friend group even more so during COVID, but May 16, 2020 will always be one of the best. I was having a particularly hard day and was hanging out with my sister Jessica at our house. She thought it would be good to get out and do something so she called one of our sisters to see what they were doing. Jessica invited everyone over to have a game night at our house. They told us that they had a guy with them that we had not met before and asked if it was okay for him to come along. Not long after everyone showed up and we proceeded with game night as usual playing different card games and having a great time. I spent the night sitting next to and getting to know this new guy who seemed to be great. We shared jokes, stories, and I am sure he laughed at me being the weird person I am. That was it.

The next day I was hanging out with my sisters and Becca at our parents when it came out that they were trying to introduce him to my sister Berkley in hopes that they would date, and Richard was happy to go along with it. As we were laughing at the situation Jessica asked why they were trying to set Berkley up when she was dating someone and Kristina was sitting there single. Becca jumped right on it and asked what I thought about him and if she could give him my number. Once he had my number we spent the next several days texting having the strangest conversations like how many steps he was taking and random dad jokes. I will admit at the time I was not looking for anyone, I laughed and was not really interested in continuing the conversation with him... but he did not give up. Not long after the texts turned into phone calls, spending time together with our friends, more game nights, and swimming days. After a couple weeks he took me on a date to the local taco truck and started referring to me as his "amazing girlfriend"..... and I kept denying it saying I was his "not girlfriend" . That was until I found myself in July driving to Texas to see him for one day before he went over the road trucking. It was at that point that I accepted my fate in knowing he was my person. Now instead of calling him my "not boyfriend" I will get to call him my HUSBAND.

Richard's side of the love story:

I was hanging out with my buddy Dallas and some friends he knew. Just going along with the day in my white DCs that Becca insisted I wear. Eventually we ended up at a home where they said we were going to have a game night. I was hanging out on the couch playing games and getting to know the other people in the room. Especially this pretty lady sitting to my right. We talked most of the night and I enjoyed getting to know her. At the end of the night I stood in the door way and thought about asking her for her number and ended up deciding not to, which I later regretted. On the way home Dallas and Becca were asking me what I thought of Berkley. I told them that she was not my type... but that I was interested in that Tina girl. The next day I was hanging out with Dallas when Becca texted asking more questions and that is how I got Tina's number. I spent the next several days texting her and trying to keep the conversation alive with anything I could think of because she sure wasn't. After that we went on a date to the taco truck and since then I have had her hooked. Now I give credit to our friends, delicious tacos, my great personality, and of course the white DCs.
