I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?
We have a wedding block at The Grenville in Bay Head, NJ. Please do not book online as we have a room block and you will need to call to reserve the room. Please reference the Ruth/Hilt wedding when you call. We will also provide information for a few other hotel options. Please see Travel section for more details.
Can I bring a plus one?
We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure you are RSVPing for yourself and your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invite.
Is there a dress code?
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a formal dress code. For men, suits and tie. For women, cocktail dresses. Please note, guests will be walking on a dock to get from the ceremony location to reception location, so keep that in mind when planning your shoes.
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adult only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate this special day with us!
What time is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be starting at 4:30 pm please arrive by 4:15 pm.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place in a covered, open-air boathouse. Cocktail hour will be on the outside terrace of the club, weather permitting. Dinner and dancing will be held indoors.
Is there parking at the Bay Head Yacht Club?
There is valet and self-parking at the main BHYC club house. Once you arrive at the main club house, the BHYC staff will direct you to the boathouse for the wedding ceremony. It's a short walk down the dock and across a bridge. Golf carts will be available for guests who need assistance.
When should I RSVP by?
The earlier, the better! Please let us know if you plan on celebrating with us by April 3rd.
