There are beautiful spots in and around gatlinburg to hike and explore. We went to Laurel falls and had a great time. Wear comfortable shoes!

Newfound Gap Road (hwy 441) is a 33 mile drive from Gatlinburg, TN to Cherokee, NC. Scenic drive that allows you to experience a little bit of everything Smoky Mountains National Park has to offer. Along the way, you'll find pull-off parking areas accompanied by beautiful views. Takes about an hour to drive depending on traffic but if you plan on pulling off at any of the stops, visiting Newfound Gap or Clingmans Dome, plan to add extra time.
