We met on Hinge — not exactly the most romantic origin story, but it turns out God can use dating apps too. From our very first conversation, something just clicked. It felt natural and comfortable, like we’d known each other longer than a few exchanged messages.
For our first date, Austin drove an hour and a half each way to take Kristina to a drive-in movie — a small but meaningful gesture that said a lot about who he is. That night was full of laughter and real conversation, and it was clear to both of us that something special had started.
(And yes — Kristina really did text her mom afterward saying, “I think I’m going to marry him.”)
Over the next year and a half, we navigated long distance — a season that stretched us, challenged us, and ultimately deepened our love. We learned to be patient, to communicate with purpose, and to trust that God was working in the waiting. Every visit, every phone call, every small act of love reminded us that what we had was something worth holding onto. God was present in all of it — even the hard parts — and we’re grateful for the way He used that season to shape our relationship.
After graduation, Kristina made the move from Louisville to the Cincinnati area — a meaningful step we took together, trusting that it was the right next chapter for us. Being in the same city has allowed us to grow closer, face new challenges side by side, and experience deep gratitude in getting to be in each others' presence daily.
Now, as we prepare for marriage, we’re entering this next chapter with a lot of excitement and even more hope. We understand marriage as a sacred sacrament — a lifelong commitment rooted in faith and God’s grace. It’s more than a celebration; it’s a vocation to love, serve, and grow together. We’re deeply thankful for the people who have supported us, and we can’t wait to share this day — and the journey ahead — with the people we love.
We are so grateful to each of you for making the journey to be with us on this special day. Your presence means more than words can express, and we feel incredibly blessed to celebrate this moment surrounded by the people we love. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and for being part of our story.
