Our Wedding

Kristina and Dustin's journey began, as many great ones do, with a little bit of serendipity and a dash of table-hogging. It was at an Island Vintage Coffee shop in Kapolei that their paths serendipitously collided. Kristina, with her signature bustling energy, was on a mission to find a workspace when she spotted Dustin, comfortably spread out at a table all by himself. Ever the direct one, she politely inquired if she could share his prime real estate. Dustin, clearly a man of good taste (and perhaps a bit surprised by her moxie), readily agreed. What started as a shared table quickly spiraled into an entire day and evening of non-stop conversation and adventure. They bounced from Korean BBQ to pizza, washing it all down with a few beers, and even indulged in a spirited (and likely competitive) round of Skee-Ball. It was clear from the get-go: these two just clicked. The conversation flowed so easily, and a profound sense of comfort settled over them both. They each knew, in that quiet, undeniable way, that being together simply "felt like home." The early days of their romance were a unique blend of sports bar dinners and bittersweet airport goodbyes. Their budding connection faced its first hurdle when Dustin had to jet off to Georgia for a month for work. Leaving Kristina was tough, but not even distance could dampen his resolve. So, when Kristina found herself heading to Denver for a work weekend, Dustin seized the perfect opportunity to fly out and surprise her, even if it was just for a fleeting visit. It became pretty undeniable then and there: not even a continent could stop these two. It wasn't until Dustin finally returned home that their relationship truly flourished. With the long-distance chapter closed, they made a promise to never take a trip without each other. And boy, have they stuck to it! Their adventures have taken them on multiple trips back to visit Kristina's parents on Kaua'i, exploring Hawai'i Island with friends, embarking on cross-country trips through California and Texas, and even braving thrilling roller coaster rides. Through all their adventures, they've learned to perfectly balance each other out. While Dustin can be a bit "punchy", Kristina has a magical way of bringing out his softer side, often catching him teary-eyed with emotion. And for Kristina, who's constantly on the go, Dustin is her gentle reminder to slow down and "enjoy the moment." Then came the day Dustin was ready to pop the question! In the lead-up, Dustin, with the help of Kristina's closest friends, orchestrated a seemingly innocent weekend of "professional headshots" – a perfect ruse to gather everyone without suspicion. Everything was going according to plan until a phone call with Dustin's dad inadvertently spilled the beans about the special day. Nonetheless, the day went off without a hitch! Kristina, who had always dreamt of a proposal involving a flash mob (yes, really!), found this heartfelt and intimate proposal just as perfect, proving that sometimes, the best moments are the unexpected ones.

Kristina's high school best friend, Jerika, boasts a friendship so enduring it could be carbon-dated. This is a bond that has seamlessly carried into their adult lives, with Jerika always there as Kristina's shoulder to cry on and her fiercest cheerleader. Their connection is truly profound—so deep it would make the ocean envious—and it's fair to say Jerika's love for Kristina might even rival Dustin's!

 Crysel is Kristina's childhood best friend, literally from their hometown! She's been with Kristina through thick and thin, seeing her through everything—probably even before Kristina knew what "everything" was—and is truly like a sister to her.

Crysel Nihue

Kaitlin, affectionately known as Katie, is Kristina's "Costco Wife" – a best friend who shares bulk-buy habits and was even under the same Costco account. Their bond runs deep; they've definitely trauma-bonded over the wild world of teaching, truly understanding each other's classroom chaos. And if you're wondering, "Have you ever been sideways in a Jeep before?" Well, Kristina and Katie have! Katie is quite literally Kristina's drive or die.

Amanda is Kristina's wonderful cousin, who's not just family but also a fantastic friend. With her protective spirit and ability to be the life of the party, she's the perfect addition to the bridal party—truly proof that sometimes, the best people are already right there in your family tree!

Kristina's adorable goddaughter (and Crysel's daughter!), is ready to sprinkle some extra joy—and undoubtedly a few petals—down the aisle. Get ready for a serious dose of cuteness overload!

Tino, much like Badua, bravely took Dustin under his wing when he first arrived at his Army Reserves unit. Clearly, he saw potential (or at least someone who needed guidance) and has been stuck with him ever since.

Andrew 'Tino' Constantino

Badua was one of the first to take Dustin under his wing when he joined his Army Reserves unit. We're pretty sure he taught Dustin everything he knows... and probably a few things he shouldn't.

Rayborn 'Badua' Badua

Mark is Dustin's closest cousin, which means he's been obligated to hang out with Dustin since birth. Luckily, they actually like each other, making family gatherings much less awkward.

Avi is Katie's husband, and when he first met Dustin, he apparently liked the sound of Dustin's voice. We're not sure if that's a compliment or just unique, but either way, it made an impression, and now Avi's stuck in the wedding party!

Join us as we say "I Do" on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the beautiful Kapila Gardens in Wai'anae Valley. The ceremony will begin at sunset, 6:30 PM, with a joyous cocktail hour and reception to follow. (Full address to follow soon!)

Our Wedding Day Vision

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, our vision for our wedding day is deeply intentional and intimate. We dreamt of an outdoor celebration, a romantic dinner party under the stars shared with our absolute favorite people – all of you! To help us create an atmosphere where everyone can truly enjoy the moment, we will be having an 'unplugged' ceremony. We kindly request that you silence and put away your cell phones and cameras during the ceremony. We want to see your lovely faces, not your screens! Just a friendly heads-up: Kristina is a teacher, and she's not shy about asking people to put away their phones. So, if you're caught with your cell phone out during the ceremony, you might just find yourself getting a little reminder (and she'll have no problem taking it away!). But don't worry about missing out on capturing memories! We'll have wonderful photographers on hand to capture every beautiful moment, and all photos will be accessible to you after the wedding. Once the ceremony is over and the reception begins, feel free to whip out your phones and snap away! Let's all be present and enjoy the magic!

Guests to please refrain from wearing white, black, or any shade of blue. These colors are reserved for the wedding party and their immediate family.

Wai'anae is a beautiful, rural area located about 40 minutes west of Daniel K. Inouye Airport (HNL). We recommend that our out-of-town guests consider staying in the surrounding Kapolei, HI area for convenience.
