After many long-distance months, catching every moment between work and/or daily life to talk via text or FaceTime, we finally met at a Starbucks close to where Chris grew up. We would like to say the rest is history... because it literally is BUT we won't cut you short.

Kristine was in school getting her Bachelor's degree, working full-time as an office manager, and Chris as an infantryman in the Army battling all sorts of training. Between the two of us, we really didn't have much time for anything else; however, the time that we spent talking seemed to make everything around us disappear even if just for a moment.

Since we finally met a couple of months before good 'ol COVID, one can probably imagine with world restrictions and regulations, things weren't very easy for us. Although, if we are completely honest, we didn't mind breaking a few rules. We made every attempt to find time for each other regardless of how far that meant we needed to travel.

It didn't take much time for us to realize that we had both found our person. They say, when ya know, ya know, and that has been true for us from the very beginning. Over time, we grew, and instead of growing apart, we began growing together but this actually made our 6 hours apart much harder. Between all sorts of emotions and many tears, we learned more and more just how much 'time' is truly worth and not to take it for granted.

We can't say that the time apart has been easy as we are literally counting down the days until see ya later becomes hours instead of days, but we have learned to focus on what is ahead of us. With that being said, Kristine was eagerly focusing on what is ahead, knowing that her forever is Chris.

Fast-forwarding two years - past graduations/certificates, new career, job promotions, relocation, and many other accomplishments, Chris finally popped the question at our favorite Alabama campground... and now, the rest is officially history.

Updates & HAPPINESS in 2022:

-We were legally married on May 6th, 2022 (YAY)! But we cannot wait to have an official ceremony and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family on August 26, 2023!

-We bought our first house in the middle of nowhere (exactly how we like it) on June 30th, 2022 in Olin, NC and this is where we currently live with our furbabies, Luna, Ranger, and Oliver. This is also where we grew our very FIRST successful garden!

-Kristine said YES to the dress on August 7, 2022 :)

-Chris is HOME from the Army as of September 8th, 2022!

Next up - WEDDING. We cannot wait to celebrate with YOU! See you on August 26, 2023 at 5:00 PM!
