Our Wedding

Kristine accepted her first school counseling job at Naches Valley High School in June of 2015. A serendipitous encounter occurred during her first days in the building.&nbsp; Mrs. Shannon Beireis introduced Kristine to a&nbsp;young, charming band teacher named Jeremy. Later that day Shannon asked Kristine if she would be okay with Shannon giving Jeremy her phone number because she "could see you two&nbsp;being a thing". When Kristine didn't hear from Jeremy over the summer she assumed it was because he wasn't interested, little did she know he was busy on a nationwide tour with the Seattle Cascades Drum Corps.

The 2015-2016 school year was approaching and Kristine was in the building for schedule changes and Jeremy was in for band camp. This gave them the opportunity to be around each other for the first time. As the school year started, Kristine began to notice that Jeremy would get his mail in the office and return to his classroom by&nbsp;walking by Kristine's office (this was the long way back).&nbsp;

First Met 

The scene was a beer lovers dream: The Beer Shoppe. While it wasn't outright stated that this was a date, both Kristine and Jeremy were interested in each other and were there to scope out the other. After a few rounds of delicious brews they were smitten.&nbsp;

A few days later, after Jeremy had finished with the Yakima Harvest Festival competition, he asked Kristine to meet him and his friends at Sports Center. That evening they became an official couple.

First Date

In the spring of their first year together, the opportunity of a lifetime was offered to Jeremy. Washington State University wanted him to come earn his Master's degree and work with the WSU Athletic Bands, free of charge!

Over the next two years, Jeremy and Kristine discovered how much they truly loved each other. Frequently, Kristine would come to Pullman to visit Jeremy. These visits included Pac-12 sports and date nights at Paradise Creek Brewing.&nbsp;



WSU not only offered Jeremy an excellent education, it allowed for Jeremy and Kristine to take exciting trips! WSU allowed Kristine to accompany the WSU Athletic Band to the WSU vs. Oregon football game at Autzen Stadium and to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego! WSU wanted to keep Jeremy happy, which meant keeping Kristine happy.

The Long Distance Years

Pacific City, Oregon - Pelican Brewing&nbsp; Jeremy had just graduated with his Master's at Washington State University. It was time for the next step, so how was he going to get this beautiful and supportive&nbsp;woman to spend the rest of her life with him?&nbsp; After Jeremy had a meeting with Kristine's parents, the plan was set.&nbsp; During a family vacation to Oregon both families met at Pelican Brewing for lunch and drinks.&nbsp; Following lunch Kristine and Jeremy went on a walk to enjoy the beach (one of their first vacations together was to this very beach.)&nbsp; Atop a sand dune right outside the brewery, Jeremy got down on one knee and asked Kristine to marry him in front of both sets of parents.&nbsp; She said yes! &nbsp;

Kristine met Jessica in 2013 in the school counseling program at Gonzaga University. The two discovered a large overlap in interests besides their grad program such as Disney, sports, and Harry Potter. They became attached at the hip. They attended many Gonzaga basketball games together and Jessica brought Kristine to an Eastern Washington University football game. Kristine had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Jessica’s wedding in 2017.

James and Jeremy met as freshmen at Kennewick High School.&nbsp; They have been on many vacations together and attended the same college for a short time. James has always been a fan of band and both he and Jeremy participated in many different music classes while at Kennewick High. They also helped to start a local Venture Crew in the Kennewick area and spent many winters snowboarding. James has been Jeremy's go-to friend in many situations and has helped him to become the man he is today.&nbsp;

Jeremy has known Erik since his freshman year in high school.&nbsp; They have been housemates for a majority of their college careers at both Central Washington University and Washington State University.&nbsp; They have also been involved as instructors with many high school marching band programs around eastern Washington as well as the Cougar Marching Band at Washington State University.

Sam and Kristine met in 2009 through an eHarmony-like roommate match program at Western Washington University. Kristine truly hit the jackpot in getting Sam as a roommate. Kristine had moved to WWU without knowing a single person and Sam was so kind, funny, and welcoming. The two became fast friends while bonding with dance parties, the tv show Lost, and being college freshmen. The two lived together for two years. Kristine had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Sam’s wedding in 2018.

The story of Dan and Jeremy has indeed been legendary.&nbsp; They met as freshmen at Central Washington University and have been great friends through many changes in both of their lives.&nbsp; They have bonded over music and drinks ever since.&nbsp; Dan's caring and crazy personality always brings an added life to the party!&nbsp;

Katie and Kristine met in 2013 before entering their school counseling program at Gonzaga University. Both didn’t know anyone in Spokane and wanted to be able to split rent. The two became close very quickly with their love of movies, school counseling, and Gonzaga basketball. Katie also has a sweet lab named Zuma that lived with them. Kristine saw the bond Katie and Zuma had and knew that she wanted to have something similar. In January of 2014 Kristine adopted Ollie and their home grew to four.

Katie Harrington

Kristine met Renae in 2009 while working at Meadowbrook Family Fun Center. A friendship was forged over making pizzas, running go karts, and coordinating birthday parties. A few years later both Kristine and Renae attended Central Washington University. Renae and Kristine now both reside in the Yakima Valley with careers in education. Kristine had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Renae’s wedding in 2018.

Joey and Jeremy met during their rookie year with the Seattle Cascades in 2006.&nbsp; They were both members of the low brass section.&nbsp; After marching together they lost touch until they learned they were both attending Central Washington University.&nbsp; Jeremy asked Joey to come teach with him for the Seattle Cascades in 2012 and they have been working with each&nbsp;other there and at various programs around Washington. They also&nbsp;were both housemates throughout their college careers. &nbsp; Both lovers of craft beer, you can pretty much guarantee&nbsp;they are at a brewery when they are with each other.&nbsp;

Joey Riordan

Taylor and Kristine met in 2004 through volleyball at Eisenhower High School. The two didn’t become friends until their sophomore year when they were both on the JV squad. They became inseparable. After high school Kristine and Taylor went off to separate universities but both decided to transfer to Central Washington University. They lived together at CWU for two years. During that time they experienced 21 runs, tears, and so much laughter.

Connor is Jeremy's nephew and groomsman for the wedding.&nbsp; Jeremy and Connor bond over their love of Star Wars and Transformers. Jeremy is so happy to be a part of his life and to watch him grow up and follow his dreams.&nbsp;
