Some love stories begin with a spark but ours started with a friendship—one that lasted over a decade before God finally gave us the right timing. We first met summer of 2009, before our senior year in high school, at a college review center.&nbsp;Initially, we remained focused on our studies, mostly ignoring each other. However, everything changed when Kris left a burned CD of the Across the Universe movie soundtrack on Lav's table. That was when we found out about our shared love of The Beatles. What was once just a typical classmate relationship has turned into an unbreakable friendship. For the most part of a decade, we remained close—laughing, supporting each other, and navigating life side by side. But then life happened and both became busy, Kris was focusing on his medical degree and Lav was busy climbing the corporate ladder. Unfortunately, we lost contact with each other. Also, through all those years, there was never a moment when we were both single at the same time. Then, 2020 happened. The world paused, and so did our usual routines. Out of the blue, Kris reached out—and this time, the timing was finally right. One conversation led to another, and before we knew it, our friendship had become something more. The rest, as they say, is history. After years of being best friends, Lav and Kris finally get to spend forever together. And yes, he officially got out of the "friendzone". P.S. Now, Kris might try to tell you I was the one doing all the courting (don't believe him for a second, who are we kidding, nobody else does!)
