On a late June night a decade ago, Kristy and Jonathan decided to have an auspicious first date after meeting each other online via OKCupid a few weeks before. They met at Kristy's studio downtown (just in case he was serial killer) then went to dinner, where they bonded quickly over horror movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Tennessee Williams plays. By the end of the date, she'd decided he was not a serial killer and let him give her a ride home, where they discovered they only lived a few blocks away from each other.

While they began seeing each other regularly, getting to know each other fully took some time over the first couple years. They started talking about making it official and moving in together a couple years back as both left hectic jobs for glorious self-employment, which ultimately allowed them much more time to enjoy together.

The pair harbor a deep love of very late nights and sleeping in, Chinese take-out, drive-in movies, and live theatre. They look forward to spending many years enjoying all these and more with the passel of cats they share a home with.
