We met at the Pasadena Public Library by the Pasadena Police station (central location).

LOL! You’d be surprised how many times we are asked that! No, that is not what happened. It happened like this. We were the only 2 sitting in the computer section. Matt was working on an exit interview for a job that he had previously worked at. Kristy was working on a list for a funeral luncheon at our church. Matt asked out loud if “anyone knew how to spell inappropriate.” Kristy responded with the spelling. A few minutes later, Matt went over to Kristy. We sat there talking for about an hour and a half. We had to leave as the library was closing. So we continued to talk outside of the library. Due to the sweltering, triple digit, high humidity heat, we sat in Kristy’s truck and talked for a couple of more hours. We had their first date that evening, talking and getting to know one another. We have been pretty much inseparable since then, except to sleep and work. The rest is history.

Kristy did. Matt was right behind her the next day telling Kristy he loved her as well.

1 day shy of 19 years and 7 months. If Matt had been born a day later, it would have been 19 years and 7 months exactly.

We don’t care. As long as we are happy, that is all that matters. For the record, we are blissfully happy and very much in love!

Kristy is bringing 2 dogs (who she treats like real kids) into the relationship. She already refers to Matt as their Daddy when speaking with them about him. She has already changed their last name to Jones; Bella Boo Jones and Calli Fornia Jones

We’d rather put all of that money spent on decorations and cake and other stuff towards a vacation where we can enjoy more things together. Planning your own wedding is a lot of stress and so many moving parts costs a lot of money. We choose stress free and less money for a ceremony that is over in like 20-30 minutes. It will just be Our Bishop, ourselves and Matt’s Mom and Step-Dad. Everyone else can watch on Facebook Live or Zoom. 😎
