What time is the wedding?
The ceremony will be at 1pm at St. Jude’s Parish in Mountain Top, 420 S Mountain Blvd. The bride will try not to be fashionably late but no promises with the groom.
Where is the reception?
Sand Springs in Drums, 10 Clubhouse Drive, a lovely (and straight!) 6 mile drive south. Go to the clubhouse, reception will be on the far right side of the building. Weather permitting, our cocktail hour is in the garden pavilion to the right of ballroom. If you arrive early, Sand Springs has an outdoor bar area as well as an indoor bar. But seriously, save your drinking for the reception - those drinks are on us! *Please drink responsibly.
RSVP cards? No QR code?
Yep, we went old school. Please put your name on them and let us know what you’re hungry for. Oh and remember to mail them by August 1st - we put a stamp on there and everything.
What is the dress code?
You’re in church, god is judging. And if you wear white, you’ll be publicly humiliated.
Alcohol?
Yes, please. But not at the church, they have rules.
What’s the theme of the wedding?
We’re supposed to have a theme? Who decided this? Let’s just eat, drink and party.
What exactly am I eating?
Here’s the exact description from the menu:
Italian Chicken: marinated chicken breast topped with Italian seasoning, basil, roasted red peppers & parmesan cheese served with roasted potatoes and vegetable
Filet Medallions: tender filet mignon topped with a burgundy sauce served with roasted potatoes and vegetable
Penne alla Vodka: penne pasta tossed in a rich and delicious tomato, vodka and cream sauce, all topped with parmesan cheese
How did you pick your bridal party?
These are the people that were willing to play along. They’re cool.
Restrooms at Sand Springs?
Next to the bar. Yeah, I didn’t notice them at first either.
Where are you registered? And um…there’s some strange stuff on your registry, are you aware?
Well, Amazon gives you 20% off anything on the Registry that wasn’t purchased. So just ignore the toothpaste, it’s a good deal! We also have a Honeymoon Fund on our registry page, think of it as a Go Fund Me for St. Lucia. Scuba diving can be funded by people like you!
Please don’t take the centerpieces.
We’re all adults, I shouldn’t have to tell you this. Also, we're thinking of selling them afterwards. (Gotta recoup somehow!)
Kids at ceremony vs reception?
We love your kids, we really do. They are more than welcome at the ceremony. But we don’t want to have to play the Kids Bop version of songs at the reception. 12 and older only please. (They’ve already heard all the curse words.)
Closest hotel?
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Drums-Hazleton, 1 Corporate Dr, Drums, PA 18222. We've never been there, don't blame us if it's not nice. But it seems nice, it really does!
Let us know if you have any other questions, we're here to serve!
