Dear Family & Friends,

We are writing this from Delhi International Airport on June 7, 2022, one flight away from meeting each other’s extended families for the first time. Something about being in the sky makes it hard to keep track of days, but somewhere over Asia in the quiet hours of night, we marked a year since we first laid eyes on each other through these two pictures.

We speak often about how far we’ve come in such a short a time, from picking a restaurant for our first date, to picking a caterer for the wedding. Kritika comes from north India, Anand from the south. She grew up in India, Anand in America. Kritika is a Jain, Anand a Hindu. She thinks in Hindi, he thinks in English.&nbsp; 		Over the last twelve months, however, each of our hearts grew to make room for these two worlds.

Through introducing each other to our friends and family, we got to see you all as if for the first time. And the more we spend time with each other, the more we get to see ourselves as if for the first time, too.&nbsp; We used to wonder why strangers treated us better when we were together than when we were single. Maybe it was because we treated strangers better, too — the warm glow of love that is impossible to keep to yourself. This is the same light you all shine on us, which continues to make our story possible. Until the next big announcement, here are some dress rehearsals!
