Dress Code

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes...the honeymoon! As we plan our dream trip, we've decided to forgo the traditional registry gifts and humbly request your contribution towards our honeymoon experience instead. We believe that this will be the best way to start our married life together and create memories that will last forever. Any amount, big or small, will help us make our honeymoon a trip of a lifetime, filled with unforgettable memories, adventures, and experiences!

Hotel and Accommodation

Unfortunately we won’t be reserving any hotel blocks for the wedding, but we’ve provided some suggestions below for places to stay in the Kihei area. There are tons of wonderful Airbnb options in Kihei as well, some only steps away from the beach!

Only a 5min drive from the wedding venue, this is where we will be staying. Spacious suite style rooms with kitchen. Amazing amenities, walkable to the beach, and free parking. Great if you’re a Hilton Honors member.

Hilton Grand Vacation Club- Maui Bay Villas

Right in the heart of Kihei, across the street from Charley Young Beach (our personal favorite beach on Maui). Book a room in the Kai Tower, which offers newer luxury rooms and suites. Maui Coast Hotel offers a free on site shuttle that travels across Kihei within a 3 mile radius. Walkable to Kihei Kalama Village and Kihei Food Oasis.

Less than a mile away from The Shops at Wailea, Residence Inn offers spacious rooms with daily breakfast included. The property also has a free shuttle that services the Wailea area. Great for Marriott Bonvoy members.

Very beautiful drive with lots of pit stops along the way to the town of Hana. Stop for some banana bread at Aunty Sandy’s and dip your feet on the shores of Waiʻānapanapa Black Sand Beach, make sure you plan for an all day adventure! The drive can be tricky, just be courteous and pull over for locals.

Our Maui Faves

Back in the Fall of 2009, I was just starting to get a taste of college life- my social bubble was expanding outside of Pinole and Hercules.  In those days, if you were a college kid you were joining that Facebook train. Back then-before influencers and content creators, the social media culture was “if I know you or if we have mutual friends, add me!” I get a friend request from someone I had “met” on MySpace. We had messaged each other here and there but had never met in person. He always tried to arrange something for us to finally kick it, but something always fell through. Also, I didn’t know this kid, for the first few months that we were DM’ing each other, I thought he lived in ANTIOCH 😅. It wasn’t until I added him on Facebook that I realized that I didn’t have just one mutual friend with this guy, but TWO. And these were people that ran in different social circles too- very random, but too weird NOT to address. He played baseball for Laney College with a good friend from high school’s BF. One night this friend invites me to this party at this “baseball house” in Alameda. At the time, it felt like a typical frat house, and I knew we weren’t going to stay long as soon as I saw they were low on toilet paper. LOL As I walked around the side of the house to head back to the car, there he was standing on the front porch talking to his teammate. His friend had said something like “who’s that” and Kev goes, “that’s my girlfriend”. We walked around the neighborhood that night for what felt like hours just talking. And in the beginning that’s all we did, left video messages on each other’s facebook wall and talk after 9p when our minutes were free.  In those days, iPhones were an AT&T exclusive- but with shitty service. I was an “droid” girl, having Verizon at the time. So we had to get creative, we bought webcams to talk to each other on the days we weren’t together. We were just kids back then, completely unaware of this journey life would take us on. Not only did we grow up together, we grew in love and understanding. Moments spent apart to only come back together in the end. So excited to see where this new chapter takes us bubba! 143 637💕

If you ask Krizelle…

Flashback to my sophomore year of college in 2009. I asked one of my teammates at Laney if his gf at the time had any friends that were single. He suggested her friend named Krizelle. Instantly liked the name. I looked her up on Facebook, MySpace and eventually decided to send her a DM. Before she replied back, I would rave to my boys- Perdz and Ant about how I have a girl on the line and how cute she was lol! I asked for her “math” (a cool way rappers asked for a girls number) 😅 and told her to come to a baseball party our team threw every Friday at our teammate’s house in Alameda. Long story short, I ended up gaming her up that night! We walked around the block of the neighborhood where Golden State Warriors’ Monta Ellis and Stephen Jackson used to live behind college of Alameda. During the time, I was trying to sell her on how cool Alameda was. Whatever I said, I had to make sure she had a good time. We finally hung out a few times after that and hit it off since! We’ve gone through almost everything together bubs. Growing up with you these past 16 years have given me the best of life’s experiences. Can’t wait to see what the married life has to offer next!
