The Resorts:

Dreams Resort is a family resort and is an AMR Resort. Secrets Resort is an adults only resort and is also an AMR Resort. While staying at Dreams, adults are also able to dine, swim, drink, use all the amenities at Secrets and vice versa. However, no children are allowed in Secrets. We are staying at and getting married at Dreams, but we will be spending our time at both resorts! When walking over to Secrets, there will be a guard who will ask for your room number. This is protocol, so do not be nervous!

Preferred Club:

The AMR Resorts has a Preferred Member Club. Certain rooms, attractions, pools, and bars are only for those who are staying in a preferred club or are a preferred member. We are NOT preferred members, but have booked a preferred room. If you have booked a preferred room, then you will have access to preferred club amenities. During checkin-in the concierge will go over this with you.

VERY IMPORTANT: Staff will ask you to attend a Preferred Member Club meeting. They will say it is only 30min, however, we went to one and it was 2hrs long! So, if you are not interested in becoming a preferred member, please just flat out tell them. To become a preferred member, the least expensive package starts around $15,000 per year. This is just to give you an idea about the money part of it. The staff will probably ask you at check-in.

Tips:

Tips are not mandatory at the resort, however, we highly recommend it. We have noticed that when tipping, our service is exponentially better in terms of timeliness and quality. If you want to tip, please bring singles as the resort hardly ever has change.

Alcohol:

The resort has a variety of liqueurs. However, if you want a specific alcohol please tell them because otherwise they will give you the house brand of alcohol.

Restaurant Attire:

Breakfast and lunch- swim suit with cover-up/t-shirt with sandals or gym shoes are allowed

Dinner: Men must wear pants and button shirt or polo; Women must wear dress (summer/spring), capris or pants with a nice top. No flip flops are allowed.

This means if you purchased the insurance, then there is no fee for your first checked bag. However, if you did not purchase the insurance, then you will have to pay for any checked luggage.
