Eric + Krystal

A beautiful story of unexpected love!

We both were coming from a place of defeat and discouragement, believing true love just didn’t exist for us. Tired of the online dating Apps, we individually decided it was time to delete our profiles and move on. Just before Krystal was going to delete her profile, she took another glance to see if she was “Matched” with anyone worth her time. As usual, most “Matches” did not meet her preferences; however, she had a potential Match, Eric, which piqued her interest. Not sure why, but Krystal felt compelled to dig deeper. Eric’s profile description was funny, so at least he had a sense of humor. What really stood out though, his music preferences - one song, the only song listed, The Blessing, by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. Krystal was quite intrigued at this point, so she took a chance and “hearted” Eric’s profile. Eric took the bait and messaged Krystal. Conversations were easy, fun, and genuine. Krystal was impressed by Eric’s respectful and kind personality.

Over a very short period of time, chats were frequent and phone numbers were exchanged online, which ultimately led to a first date on March 13th. We talked forever and many more dates followed.

Embracing the idea that God had a better story for us opened doors we never could have imagined.

It’s a powerful reminder that sometimes surrendering our own expectations can lead to the most fulfilling experiences.
