Q + A

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/dressy casual. We encourage our guests to dress accordingly at your own discretion. No white or ivory, please. The whole venue is paved, so feel free to wear your highest heels!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Weather in Coto de Caza can vary depending on the time of year. But considering our wedding is in September, we recommend you prepare for some hours of sun and heat. Shade and accommodations are plentiful, and the ceremony and reception will be primarily indoors.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Our ceremony is taking place at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church in the main church building. The reception is taking place on the beautiful grounds of Coto Valley Country Club. Cocktail hour will take place on the front patio of the property while the reception will follow in the main building.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony and reception will be taking place indoors. The cocktail hour will be outdoors with some shaded areas and there will be an outdoor patio near the back of the building available for those who would like to get some fresh air at any point during the reception.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, guests will be asked to join us for cocktail hour at the reception venue for drinks while we take pictures. Immediate family may be asked to join in the picture-taking; however, the photographer may assist in grabbing the needed parties. Please keep an ear out for your names.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Although we would love to celebrate the whole week with all of you invited, please be mindful that certain activities scheduled the days before or after the event may be private for close family and those directly involved in the function of the event. Those invited to said events will be directly contacted. We appreciate your understanding and very much look forward to celebrating our nuptials with all of you on the actual day of the wedding.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Kindly respond to our RSVP by the date indicated on our website or invitation. It is important for us to get the information about guest count and food/beverage to our vendors to properly prepare for our wedding. In the event that you cannot make the wedding following your confirmed RSVP, please contact us directly through email or text to make sure we adjust the counts as needed. Your promptness in responding is appreciated, but please refrain from texting or calling the day-of with the unfortunate news of your absence.

How do I get to the venue?

We appreciate everyone’s ability to travel a bit further out of the way to our venue. When traveling from the church to our venue, please be aware you will have to pass through a gate with a guard shack. Simply let the guard know you are here for the wedding and they will pass you through.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is plenty of free parking available at the church and venue for guests to self park. For guests who thoroughly enjoy the evening libations, guests can leave their vehicles overnight and pick them up the next day. We appreciate you all enjoying the night safely.

Can I bring a date? Are kids welcome?

We are so happy to include loved-ones at our event, but please be mindful of your guest-count assigned on your invitation noting the number of guests we have budgeted for. Please do not bring a guest unaccounted for. If you have any questions about guests included on your invitation, please email us directly.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We encourage guests to research the area if traveling from out-of-town or want to stay closer to the venue. AirBnb and VRBO are incredible websites and apps to find unique locations that can accommodate different sized parties. The bridal party and immediate family will be staying at Ayres Suites in Mission Viejo. Feel free to look at other additional nearby accommodations on the Travel page of our website.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Please follow the information on your invitation or RSVP card to respond appropriately. Our website is the easiest way to insert your attendance response and meal choice/dietary restriction. If for any reason you are having trouble with the website or lose your RSVP card, please email us directly with your information.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Food and drinks will be available to guests immediately following ceremony. For any guests with dietary needs, (e.g., low blood-sugar or diabetes), we encourage you to bring a snack before the ceremony. Food is delivered to the property in a timely manner but may not be available for guests who arrive earlier.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

We are happy to accommodate our guests with special dietary restrictions. If there is no place to indicate your allergy or diet on the website or RSVP card, we encourage you to email us directly.

Where are you registered?

Please refer to our website page located under “REGISTRY.” Please review our website for specific information about any contribution you wish to gift. We sincerely appreciate your attendance and kind consideration on our wedding day.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Unfortunately, the décor and flower vases are rentals and need to be returned to our vendors.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Given the nature of our ceremony taking place in the church, taking pictures during the ceremony may be distracting and could ruin the photos we so lovingly want. We invite you all to be fully present during our ceremony and hope you respect the sanctity of the sacrament we are entering into. We will share all of the professional pictures with you as soon as they are available. We would absolutely love for you to share in our day following the ceremony by taking as many photos as you would like and share them with friends, family, and on your social media. To make it easier for us to find them and re-live the fun, please utilize our hashtag #OneMooreManning on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media platforms. However, we encourage guests to be respectful of our professional photographer.

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?
