Our Story

Ethan and Krystal began their adventure together back in 2018. They met while at a fraternity party surrounded by great music and even better people. Thanks to some liquid courage Krystal was able to message Ethan via Instagram. There first date was at Buffalo Wild Wings, which was decided thanks to a coin flip. From that point forward, they were inseparable. After a romantic dinner at Texas Roadhouse on November 2nd Ethan asked Krystal to make it official and she of course said yes!

Early in 2019, Krystal and Ethan took their first big trip together to a town that meant a lot to the both of them. During their spring break, a Gatlinburg trip was taken and they began exploring the world together. This trip began a relationship goal between them or visiting all 50 states together. To this day, they have reached 7 states. Only 43 to go! This year also marked when Krystal would adopt her first Muncie cat named Shadow. By bringing in this adorable kitty into the relationship, Ethan finally started to become a cat person.

As 2020 rolled around Ethan was finishing his last 2 semesters of college and Krystal, her last 4. With College quickly coming to an end, they decided for their last year in Muncie to move into an apartment on Riverside. To add some more excite to their apartment life, Krystal decided to bring home yet another shelter cat named Cheeto. In this year, they had grown a lot and began looking to the future outside of Ball State University and into the real world.

In the Fall of 2020 Ethan had graduated and began his professional career once he was hired by UKG as an integration consultant. Throughout the first years at the company Ethan has managed to reach a Senior Consultant role. In this position, Ethan is able to assist and build integrations between the HRM software at UKG and many common benefit providers utilized by UKG's clients.

After graduating from Ball State, Krystal decided to pursue getting her doctorate in occupational therapy at the University of Indianapolis. While in school, she discovered a passion for working with older adults. Thanks to this new found passion, she also decided to get a masters in Aging Studies as well. Krystal is looking forward to the impact she will have once she is a registered OT.

In 2022 the couple had several major life events but the most important one was their engagement! On August 6th, 2022 Ethan decided to ask Krystal to marry him while they were out on a camping trip in Brown County State Park. Even though Krystal was suspicious, she ultimately had no idea that he was going to pop the question!
