Where should we begin. I think it should start with a family near and dear to my heart, The Murphys’. As the fourth adoptive sister of the Murphy Clan, they were always on the search for a suitable gentlemen since the late 2000s. Then on one cold fall night in November 2021 the idea for a set up began. Kelly Shaver (Trey’s sister) and Megan from the Murphy clan came up with the idea of setting us up. Once they got the okay from both of us there was no turning back.

Set up on a blind date and not knowing what to expect we went for drinks at Ardent Brewery on January 18th, 2022 with zero expectations. Little did we know it would be our last first date.

In summer of 2023 we traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for my family’s reunion. Jennifer and Trey did some creative spy work to get him alone with my parents to ask for their blessing. Trey then planned a very special proposal with the help of Catherine at my favorite place; Pippin Hill Winery. On September 2nd, 2023, surrounded by friends and family, Trey got on his knee and asked me to marry him. I could not have asked for a more perfect day!

Trey has learned to adapt to my love of travel and tennis, while I have learned to embrace the fandom of the Atlanta Braves and Blink 182. We are looking forward for the years to come, but more importantly can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family on August 31st, 2024.
