Kudzai's story:

I first knew of this man 7 years ago, when one of my friend’s tried to play matchmaker. She tried and I just told her no , she even messaged Jabu and he didn’t respond.Fast forward to 2017 it was memorial day weekend. One of jabu’s acquaintances was in town. It so happened that this acquaintance of his took a video of me and Jabu saw it. He asked his acquaintance who I was. His acquaintance responded by telling him my name. Three months down the line I got a friend request on Facebook from the love of my life. We would chat here and there,

And we would keep in touch. Fast forward to January 2021. I saw that he was planning to come to Atlanta in a couple of weeks. So I slid in his DM‘s and I asked him when he was coming to Atlanta. He responded by saying he would be in Atlanta in the next two weeks. I said to him we should meet up when he is here. He told me he would definitely keep in touch and let me know when he’s here. I was a little disappointed because we exchanged numbers, but he did not text me. So I just thought maybe he’s not coming after all. Two weeks down the line I got a text message from him. I was super excited and super nervous. We started texting and takking for hours and hours. Finally it was time came for him to come to Atlanta. He called me to let me know that he was at the airport and he told me of the time he would get here. We decided to meet up at a restaurant. However when I got to the restaurant they were not taking any more reservations. So I had to quickly look for a different alternative . I was so nervous that I didn’t even think of offering him a ride to the the lounge we ended at. jabu got there before me and I arrived a little bit late. Once I arrived , the rest was history. We just got along so well and it was like I had known him all my life. We were inseparable ever since. And here we are today about to walk down the aisle, and becoming husband and wife. I couldn’t be happier. This man makes me so happy, and he loves flows and all; just as much as i love him.

Jabulani's story:

Our story begins on February 26th, 2021, when I first met the love of my life. I first saw Kudzai on a video that my acquaintance had posted on Facebook. She immediately caught my eye and aroused my curiosity. I inquired to my friends about this Zimbabwean Nubian queen. Alas, someone volunteered her name. Two years later, we became friends on social media. We would chat infrequently until February 2021. One day, we were chatting on direct message when she asked me, “when are you coming to visit Atlanta?”. It was such a coincidence because I'd planned a trip on February 26th. We made arrangements for a date in midtown Atlanta. I was so elated to the point that I abandoned my friends who I had travelled with in order to meet this damsel. As I was not familiar with Atlanta, she chose the venue. I arrived at the venue early with the anticipation of seeing my queen, but my date was working on African time. I then learned from the venue that they were not accommodating any new customers. In dismay, I called Kudzai, who was running late and circling the area for parking. I asked her for an alternate plan, and she suggested a hookah lounge called Sivas. Low and behold she did not offer to give me a ride to the venue despite her being in the area and me using uber for transportation. However, I soldiered on because I was not going to miss this opportunity! I got to the venue again before her, but this lady kept me waiting for a hot minute! She finally appeared and my world just froze. My pen pal was in eyes view. It felt like a dream but the noise in Sivas let me know it wasn’t a dream. I was totally smitten by her grace, poise and beauty. She started off shy but soon she succumbed to my charm and began to warm up. We instantly “clicked” and found common ground. The conversation we had that night secured our fate. A few weeks later we decided to start our new chapter together.

It has been a wonderful experience getting to know my future wife. Kudzai stood out for me for several reasons. This culminated in me proposing after eight months of dating. I am grateful to her parents for raising such a wonderful woman. She is a caring, considerate, ambitious, compassionate...the list goes on!!! I have grown to know her friends and family as well. She is loved immensely by her friends, and they have shown that by their consistent loyalty. This essentially speaks volumes about her character. I am truly blessed and thankful to God for bringing her into my life. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with the love of my life.
