I first really remember meeting Logan on a spring break trip in 2022. Our friend, Noah, and his family were renting a cabin in northern Georgia and were inviting a number of his friends to come along. When I was introduced to Logan, apparently I reminded him that we had met in passing at a party earlier that year, which, ironically, I barely remember now. I did think he was attractive but didn't want to do anything to jeopardize my new friendships with this group of people.
This trip sparked a friendship that continued through friend group drama, his moving back to Florida, and a hurricane or two. During this time I was drawn to his work ethic, generosity, loyalty to his friends, and his care for his family and others close to him.
In the spring of 2023, our group of friends decided to take a trip to Tennessee. Logan was able to come up from Florida for the trip and he even stayed in Greenville the week after. I had come to value his opinions and wisdom, and depend on his input in decisions more so than almost any of my other friends and questioned whether this might be something more. I came to the conclusion that I did really like him that summer and was waiting for a chance to tell him in person.
That chance did not come until March of 2024 when I went to Noah's for spring break. Courtney (Logan's sister) and Caleb (see wedding party page for more details) had just started dating and the four of us decided to take a day trip to Chattanooga. I had confided in Caleb about Logan about a month prior and Caleb told me that this trip was my chance. He made sure (at least 4 different times) that I was alone with Logan so that I could talk to him. I didn't work up the courage until about 30 minutes before we had to leave to go back. Imagine my surprise when, instead of being let down gently, Logan told me that he had liked me for about the same amount of time!
We went on our first date the very next day and five days later, Logan asked me to be his girlfriend.
Coming soon!
