Kyla and Austin met at Mead &amp; Hunt, an engineering firm in Denver, CO. Kyla moved to the city in 2021 after graduation to start a full time job, while Austin had already been working there for 3 years. Kyla’s first day on the job she got to choose between two desks; a smaller one in the corner next to the window or a slightly larger one by the door next to a guy who was out on construction at the time. She chose the desk by the door and for the time being sat next to an empty cube. A few months later she finally met the man that sat in the cube next to her, Austin had come back from construction for the year.&nbsp; Kyla and Austin immediately hit it off, chatting a little bit here and there during work hours. It started as small talk about work, football, and our weekend plans. That quickly led into joking around (and maybe some flirting🤭) and eventually turned into deeper conversations, really getting to know one another. Before they knew it they were almost spending more time talking with each other than working throughout the day. One Friday afternoon, Austin asked Kyla to continue their conversation over drinks after work (since he actually had work to get done), and of course she said yes! Kyla didn’t want the date to end but had to pick her mom up from the airport, so she asked for his number so they could keep talking outside of work. From then on, they were inseparable.&nbsp; Kyla and Austin knew this was the real deal and not too long after they started dating they moved into an apartment together in the heart of Downtown Denver where they could easily walk to work, bars, and sports games. They lived in Denver for one year before they decided to move to Appleton, Wisconsin - where Kyla grew up. So they packed their things and drove across the country to start the next chapter of life together.&nbsp; Six months later, as the college football season was coming to an end, Austin surprised Kyla with tickets to the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis. University of Iowa (Kyla’s team) had made it in and University of Michigan (Austin’s team) was just about to beat Ohio State to make it in the championship. Both being huge football fans, Kyla thought nothing of it other than an amazing surprise and incredible experience for the both of them. Iowa and Michigan had both made it to the Big Ten Championship game in 2021 when they first started dating, so this was a rematch game and a good reminiscent of when they started dating two years prior. They arrive in Indianapolis ready for a big day of tailgating and football, little did Kyla know, Austin had planned to propose before the game. They took a walk that morning before all the festivities and stopped in front of the stadium with Iowa and Michigan banners in the background. Austin got down on one knee and popped the question, completely taking Kyla off guard, but it was the easiest yes of her life! As the day went on they not only got to celebrate their two teams, but their future together. Michigan ended up beating Iowa that day but Kyla wasn’t bothered because she said yes to spending the rest of her life with her best friend!&nbsp;
