What are the best places to eat in Evanston?
• Papa Bop
This father-and-son Korean restaurant provides a casual space for generous portions of bibimbap, bulgogi, soups, and more. This small space is best for groups up to 4.
• Tapas Barcelona
This is a great option if you're looking for a slightly more upscale dining and drinking experience. We especially recommend the paella valenciana, bacon-wrapped dates, and croquettes!
• Siam Splendour
They serve amazing, reliable Thai food with great dine-in and affordable delivery!
Our other favorites include Union Squared (deep dish pizza), Union Pizzeria (personal pizzas & drinks), Prairie Moon (American fusion), Lao Tian Dumpling House, and Shang Noodle and Chinese.

• Reprise Roasters
This is Daniel's favorite! They have a very creative selection of signature and special drinks, with the Cardamom Latte being Dan's go-to.
• Patisserie Coralie
Kyla's fave! Her go-to is a chai latte with chocolate syrup (warning, it's very spiced)! This café also has great sandwiches, quiche, and pastries.
Other reliable options include Backlot, Newport Coffee House, Colectivo, Cupitol, and Evanston Pour.
What are your top activity recs in Evanston?
• The beach! They are all similarly nice, but our favorites are Lighthouse, Greenwood Street, and Lee Street. During the day there is a $10 admission fee.
• Walk the lakefill path at Northwestern for a great lake view and shoreline view of downtown Chicago!
• Walk the Main Street shopping area! Many of our favorite shops are here, including Cultivate (plant shop), Dave's Down to Earth Rock Shop, Button Bakery, Squeezebox Books and Music, and Reprise Roaster's (Dan's fave coffee shop).
What do you reccomend doing in Chicago?
• Visit a museum
The museums here are top-tier! Kyla's fave is the Field Museum, and Daniel's is the Art Institute. If you like Pokémon, the Field Museum has a special Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibit right now! For photo ops, we also have the Museum of Ice Cream.
• Stroll Downtown
Walk around South Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, or the Lakefront Trail to get a feel of Chicagoland summer vibes! Hot dog stands, bike shops, and street music abound in this area. And, of course, stop at the bean if you've never bean!
• Chinatown
Amazing culture, food, dessert, and shopping! Qing Xiang Yuan has THE BEST soup dumplings, and MingHin Cuisine is great for dim sum. For dessert we love Mango Mango and Matcha En.
• Go to a baseball game!
The Cubs are playing the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers around the time of our wedding.
