Our Story

Located in the Strip District, this hotel offers conveniences not typically available at city hotels: parking and breakfast are included. It's also located walking distance to great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and attractions and just about a 15 minute drive to Phipps.

Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh-Downtown

This hotel is situated in Oakland, in the heart of the University of Pittsburgh and about a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) to Phipps! If you'd like to be close to the wedding venue and in the heart of the charming Oakland area, this hotel is for you.Breakfast is complimentary and there is also a complimentary shuttle around Oakland (including to the wedding!) Hampton Inn Pittsburgh University/Medical Center

This hotel is just south of the city and includes parking, breakfast, an indoor pool, and even has an outdoor fire pit and sports court. It's conveniently located in Southpointe plaza which has restaurants, shopping, and more. It's about 30 minutes to Oakland (where Phipps is located) and downtown Pittsburgh, and 20 minutes from the Saturday party location. Please be aware, traffic getting in to Oakland/Pittsburgh from Southpointe can be bad during rush hour. For the wedding, we recommend leaving at least an hour before arrival time.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh-Southpointe

The Fairmont is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, set right amidst the action and fun! This is where Kyla and James will be staying the night of the wedding. Parking The Fairmont has valet parking at $40 per night. There are also nearby parking garages.

This hotel is in Oakland and set against the University of Pittsburgh, a 5 minute drive to Phipps. A free shuttle is included and can be taken to Phipps and around Oakland. You can book a block rate room by clicking the website link below.

Let us know if you would like to tour the weekend of our wedding! Phipps provides half price tickets to all guests, we just have to let them know in advance.

Start the day off with James and Kyla's favorite cup of coffee in Pittsburgh at De Fer Coffee &amp; Tea. Later in the day? You can purchase a local brew, cocktail, or glass of wine as well.
