It all started in fall 2018 at James Madison University, when Kyle and Meghan crossed paths for the first time at a fraternity party. Their meeting was brief, just a fleeting moment among the buzz of laughter and chatter, but it was enough to leave an impression.

A few weeks later, as fate would have it, they ran into each other again at a Starbucks on campus where they exchanged phone numbers, setting the stage for what was to come.

Later that week, Kyle asked Meghan if she’d join him for his winter semi-formal party, just days away. Meghan said yes, and from that night on, something clicked between them. They became inseparable, enjoying each other’s company and sharing countless moments as fall turned to winter.

When the semester ended, they headed to their respective hometowns for winter break. But the distance couldn’t keep them apart for long. They made plans for Meghan to visit Kyle for New Year’s, both excited to see where their connection would lead. On New Year's Day, they found themselves enjoying lunch at the oceanfront before Meghan headed home. As Kyle gathered the courage to ask Meghan to officially be his girlfriend, a seagull swooped down and pooped on her! Despite the less-than-perfect moment, they both burst into laughter, and in that instant, Meghan said yes.

The new year brought them back to James Madison University, where Kyle was finishing his last semester. The next few months were filled with unforgettable memories—spring days walking around campus, late-night study sessions, and endless fraternity parites. Though Meghan had another year to complete, they made the most of their time together, visiting each other often and deepening their bond.

April 2020 came, and with the world in the grip of a pandemic, Kyle and Meghan made a big decision—they moved into an apartment together in Virginia Beach. Meghan finished her last semester from home while Kyle worked, and in May, they expanded their little family by adopting their first puppy, Beau. Their hearts grew even fuller the next summer when they added another furry companion, Brewer, to the family in June 2021. Their life together continued to blossom and in October 2021, they had purchased their first home together.

Their love only grew stronger over the years, and in August 2023, after four and a half years together, Kyle decided it was time to take the next step. He planned a special day, where he got down on one knee and asked Meghan to marry him. With happy tears in her eyes, Meghan said yes, marking the beginning of the next chapter in their love story.

By then, their lives were already full of joy, but nothing could have prepared them for the happiness that came next. Just over a year after their engagement, in September 2024, Kyle and Meghan welcomed their baby boy, Hudson, into the world.
