Leah Broussard - Maid of Honor
For the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of being Leah Michelle's older sister. For some reason, when we were younger she always wanted to do the same things as me, wear the same clothes as me, and even say the same things I did. Most of the time, that is how it goes. The younger sister wants to be like the big sister. Although that may have been the case when we were younger, I now find myself wanting to be more like her. Leah is hands down one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, that I have ever known. She is kind, hilarious, gracious when I don't deserve it, accepting, and so much more. She is always showing me that life is something to be celebrated, and that singing duets to the Wicked soundtrack is a great way to celebrate. Leah loves people in a way that reminds me of the beauty of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm thankful that God saw it fit to not only give me her as a sister, but as a best friend too. I can't imagine anyone else I would rather have stand beside me and hold my bouquet as I enter into a covenant of marriage with Kyle.
Brett Dossey - Best Man
My brother was the obvious choice for my best man. Not only is he my brother, but he is one of my best friends. Although growing up with him was not always great, we really have a great relationship. I have been there through the ups and downs in his life and he has been there for me in my hardships. I have seen Brett grow into a man chasing after God's heart and because of him, I have and continue to be spurred on to live more fervently for Jesus. I love my brother and am honored to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.
Connor Ratcliff - Groomsman
To describe my relationship with Connor in a few sentences is impossible. This man means so much more to me than just a few words, but I am going to try anyways. Connor and I have been able to encourage, challenge, laugh, and annoy one another in the ways only a best friend can. We have traveled to many different places, lived in the same house, shared a room for two years, and so much more. He taught me how to ski, how to set up a hammock, and how to be a better follower of Christ. Connor has pushed me to pursue Christ and stood by my side through extremely hard times and times of great joy. I am honored to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.
Erin Evans - Bridesmaid
Being the older sister of Kyle and all, Erin was a little intimidating to me at first. However, after spending some time around her it was easy to see that Erin is one of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Over the past three and a half years, I have gotten to know Erin more and more and have loved every bit of it. She is wise, hard working, fun to be around, genuine, and very passionate about the people she loves. Although she probably would laugh at me saying this, Erin has a peace about her that I have always loved and admired. It is easy to see the reflection of the gospel in how she lives her life day to day. To know Erin is to know what it means to be deeply cared for, and I am thrilled that in April she will officially be my big sister!
Colette Mark - Bridesmaid
I always love telling people about how Colette and I met. My counselor from Impact, Alli, and Colette's older sister, Carissa, who are very good friends, thought that Colette and I would make pretty great friends, too. After setting us up on what we call our 'friend date', we found out that they were completely right. We actually ended up being roommates for two years. Over that time, I learned Colette is a pretty outstanding person. She is brilliant, servant hearted, funny, kind, and joyful. She seeks to use her abilities to become a doctor and represent the healing power of Jesus to others though that. Colette has taught me many things, but my favorite thing I have learned from her is that our gifts, talents, and abilities are all given to us to show others the glory and goodness of our God.
Jacob McClendon - Groomsman
Jacob is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. The moment Jacob and I became friends, a never ending adventure began. He always challenged me to do things that I would not normally do on my own. These were not always safe, but always good. Jacob not only challenges me to be more of an adventurer, but to be more active in my faith. His heart is on fire for Jesus and he continually pushes me to be a better follower. I am so thankful for Jacob and am honored to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.
Ryan Williams - Groomsman
I have know Ryan longer than anyone that isn't related to me. He has been my best friend for my entire life. Ryan has seen me when I was at my lowest of lows and my highest highs. He has always been there for me, willing to do whatever at the drop of a hat. Ryan knows everything about me and knows exactly how I work. Our friendship is not idle, but active, and we constantly encourage one another to be more like Christ. I know I can always count on Ryan and am honored to have him stand by my side on our wedding day.
Molly McGuire - Bridesmaid
When I first met Molly McGuire, I would never have predicted that she would become one of my very best friends. I'm not sure how I formed this prediction, but I was absolutely wrong. Throughout our time serving together in a ministry called Impact, Molly showed me what it was like to serve and love people the way that Jesus does: with eagerness, yet patience. Two years later, she is still doing the same thing. Molly is full of grace, wisdom, empathy, genuine kindness, and goofiness that never fails to make me laugh. Whenever I talk to Molly, I leave feeling refreshed and encouraged. She constantly reminds me that joy is found at the foot of the cross and that at the end of each day, Jesus is still better.
Caleb Ellis - Groomsman
Caleb and I are very different people, but that is what makes us such good friends. Caleb has the ability to challenge me more than most because we have such different ways of thinking. I had the privilege of living with Caleb for 3 years. In those 3 years, Caleb helped me to become a better man. He showed me discipline, work ethic, service and how to show grace. God used Caleb to mold me into who I am today. I am honored to have Caleb stand by my side on my wedding day.
Alli Gilmore - Bridesmaid
When Alli and I first met, I was a freshman in her BG(Basic Group) at Impact 2012. It is always funny when I explain how Alli and I met, because now she is so much more than just my counselor from Impact. It wasn't too far into our friendship when we realized how similar we are. Thankfully that didn't ever really change. Throughout our friendship, Alli and I experienced a lot of the same things. I cannot speak enough about how much I have learned from her. I have learned that taking yourself too seriously is overrated, that wisdom comes from trusting in God's word, that baking is a great way to relieve stress, and that true friendship is something to be treasured.
Zoe Councilman - Bridesmaid
Being one year older than Leah and one year younger than me, Zoe naturally became part of our family very early on. She has been a part of trips we have taken, game nights with the family, and even has a spot on our shelf of family photos. During my senior year of high school, Zoe and I were both involved in a health rotations program. It was during this time that Zoe became one of my very best friends. Thankfully she came to Texas A&M when she graduated and I got to keep her! Zoe is easily one of the most servant hearted people I have had the privilege of knowing. She is constantly seeking out ways to love others no matter who they are, and has an amazing passion for the gospel. She is funny, wise, authentic, and compassionate. Although I often see Zoe as a little sister, I look up to her in many different ways.
Adam Stacy - Groomsman
Adam was my neighbor for three years. During those years, we were given the opportunity to form a friendship that I know will last a lifetime. Adam was always there when I needed someone to explain my thoughts. I would walk to his house and he would drop whatever he was doing to toss a ball back and forth for hours while we talked about anything and everything that was happening in our lives. In those moments, I was encouraged and challenged to know and follow Jesus more. I am forever grateful for the love and wisdom that Adam showed me. I am honored to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.
Noble Gann - Groomsman
Noble is without a doubt, the most loyal friend I have ever had. If I ever needed anything, Noble was always there. I have been constantly encouraged by him and his friendship. He helped me realize that close friends are the ones who challenge and encourage the most. He pushes me toward Christ in a way that not many can. Noble has always been by my side and am honored that he will be by my side on my wedding day.
MacKenzie Rock - Bridesmaid
This woman, where do I even begin? MacKenzie and I became very best friends after our freshman year of high school and have been through a lot of life together since. However, I first met her when we were much younger in Sunday school at First Baptist Arlington. I'll always remember how welcoming she was to me when I didn't really know anyone. This quality is something she still exhibits today. Mack loves people regardless of where they are. She lives out the gospel everyday and loves Jesus with every bone in her body. She has an amazing voice and desires to glorify the Lord with the talents He has given her. One of my favorite things Mack always reminds me is that no matter what, Jesus is still Jesus. This lady is wise, talented beyond belief, smart, hilarious, and compassionate. I'm always reminded that God is good because of who she is.
Emily Fore - Bridesmaid
From bus buddies on the way to Impact, to roomies for two and a half years, this girl has been around for a lot. When her first words to me had something to do with macaroni and cheese, I knew we were going to be the best of friends. Emily is one of the funniest people I know. Along with constantly making me laugh, Emily shows me what it looks like to love with everything you have. She cares deeply for people, and seeks to serve those who aren't in a position to take care of themselves. When you live with someone, you see the best and worst of them. Living with Emily has taught me many things. One of those things is that Emily extends grace when I least deserve it. Through this she reminds me of the unending grace we are shown through Jesus and his sacrifice on our behalf. To say that I am thankful for Emily Fore would be an understatement.
Jeff Evans - Groomsman
Jeff is my brother-in-law. He is the man who married my only sister. I could not have asked for a better man to have as a brother-in-law. He loves my sister and my family well and is a joy to be around. He always brings excitement and energy. He loves Jesus with all his heart and shows other people who he is through his love and desire to serve others. I am honored that he will be standing by my side on my wedding day.
Tyler Green - Groomsman
Tyler is one of the most encouraging people I know. He has provided me with so many laughs, but also with so much love. He is a purely kind-hearted person. There are not many people who are like that. I cherish the fact that one of those people is a great friend of mine. I know he is able to be kind and encouraging because of Jesus and he uses his gifts to show others Jesus. I am lucky to have Tyler stand by my side on my wedding day.
Allie Jordan - Bridesmaid
Allie and I first met at an Impact Christmas party for the camp her and Kyle were counselors for. It didn't take long to see that Allie had something different about her than most people. She was encouraging, fun to be around, and the life of the party. However, over the next two years, I would learn a lot more about Allie while living with her. Allie has taught me a lot about what it looks like to sacrificially love others and be continually changed by the gospel. She is always speaking with wisdom and encouraging those around her to pursue godliness.
Sierra Sanders - Bridesmaid
There hasn't been a day in my life that I haven't been friends with Sierra Sanders. When your parents are best friends and continually set you up on friend dates in the play pin, you don't really have a choice. However, I am really thankful that that person for me is Sierra. She is honestly one of the kindest people I know. She makes everyone around her feel welcome and comfortable. She also stood by me through my many awkward phases, so she deserves an award. Since we were little, Sierra and I both wanted to be Aggies. We were both convinced that we would convert our longhorn-fan fathers into Aggies one day, and we succeeded. Along with her kindness, Sierra is also extremely smart, funny, encouraging, and gracious.
Bailey Burrus - Groomsman
Bailey is a walking and breathing example of Christ and his power, love and grace. I knew Bailey before he was a follower of Christ and after. To be able to witness the transformation that has taken place in Bailey's life is nothing short of extraordinary. I had the privilege of living with Bailey the last year of college, and what a year it was. The conversations that Bailey and I had shows me that Jesus is real. The fact that Bailey now is able to bring Jesus more into my life still astounds me. I love Bailey and am honored to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.
Conor Barry - Groomsman
A fellow Bear. I was given the opportunity to live with Conor for three years. Throughout those years, Conor and I had many conversations. A good amount of those conversations pushed me to be more like Jesus and for that I am ever grateful. Conor showed
me how to love people like Jesus would. He always amazes me with his ability to love people with tremendous sincerity. I am honored to have Conor stand by my side on my wedding day.
Kathryn Dossey - Bridesmaid
A few years ago, Kathryn was just one of the really pretty older girls from First Baptist Arlington that I had never really gotten to know. However, when Brett started bringing her to Dossey family get-togethers, it was easy to see that Kathryn would quickly become a great friend and future sister. Although we first bonded over the common liking of spicy foods and pickles, I have had the privilege of getting to know her on a more personal level over the past year. Most of our time together has been spent talking for hours over a popsicle from Steel City Pops. Kathryn has a calming presence about her that makes her very easy to get along with. She also has a hilarious sense of humor that shows itself when you least expect it. I am very excited that I get Kathryn as a sister in April!
Katie Lonquist - House Party
This little lady was an answered prayer from the beginning. Katie and I first met when I was her counselor at Impact Retreat 2013. It didn't take long to see that Katie and I were alike in many ways. One of the most important similarities we discovered was our common love for the Backstreet Boys. After that, we knew our friendship was meant to be. Over the past three years, I have gotten to see Katie grow into a even more beautiful lady that seeks to glorify God in all that she does. She has a passion for global missions, and challenges me to take up my cross daily. She is quite funny, joyful, beautiful, and authentically compassionate. The wisdom she holds often makes me forget that she was once my little freshman.
Matthew McFarland - Usher
Matt has been my friend since freshman year of high school. Many nights were spent going to midnight premieres, playing soccer in the backyard, and playing video games for way too long. I am so thankful for the loyal friendship that Matt has shown me and the consistent laughter I always have when I am with him. I am honored to have him be an usher.
Caitlin Baram - House Party
Oh, I just love this one. Caitlin and I met my sophomore year of high school when we were in show choir together. Over the few years following that, Caitlin and I became best friends. She is one of the strongest, most loyal, hilarious, caring friends that I have ever had. She cares passionately about the people she loves and would do anything to protect them. Caitlin loves without hesitation, and gives without expecting anything in return. This lady reminds me that life is all about finding joy in the small moments. Fun fact: In September 2015, she succeeded in her lifelong dream of marrying a Brit.
Nick Thomasson - Usher
Nick and I have been friends since freshman year of high school. He helped provide my love of soccer. Although we do not have the chance to hang out as often as I would like, I love the chances we do have. We always have a great time and have great conversations. Nick is an incredibly gracious and loyal friend. I am honored to have Nick as one of my ushers.
