On October 22nd 2011, at 9 am, Kayla had a nursing school interview scheduled in Spokane, WA. She made the decision to turn the interview down though. Instead she went home for the weekend to attend the WSU Seattle football game. Her little was with her and wanted to go to a TKE tailgate. They had a perfect tailgating spot in the parking lot across from the stadium. Shortly after arriving, a guy came running up to Kayla, threw his arm around her, and said "Hi math buddy!". He sat behind her in math class freshman year. He informed her that he had borrowed his friends fireball and that he wanted to share it with her. So, at almost the exact time that Kayla would have been at her interview, she "re-met" Kyle. They spent the rest of the day together and well...the rest was history.

After graduation, Kyle and Kayla took a huge step and moved across the country to Indianapolis, Indiana. They truly have the most loving and supportive families, who never once told them they were crazy for making the move. It was the adventure of a lifetime. They experienced new places, made life long friends, and grew in their relationship more than they could have ever imagined.

After two years in Indianapolis, Kyle and Kayla moved back to the Pacific Northwest. This past August - Kyle put together a little magic in Point Defiance Park, Tacoma and asked Kayla to marry him. And of course, she said yes.

So here we are. Counting down the days to July 2nd , 2016 to celebrate the relationship and future of Kyle Erdman and Kayla Bates.
