Rose and Kyle met in October 2019 when Rose was living with her friend Tyler (who is now the wedding officiant). After work one day, Tyler mentioned he was going to a concert with a friend who would be coming to visit before they left. Rose, in typical Rose fashion, was on the couch watching Grey's Anatomy wearing sweatpants and a Snoop Dogg t-shirt when Kyle walked in. Rose immediately thought, "I wish he told me his friend was cute, this is not the outfit I would've chosen". Kyle and Rose made small talk for a few minutes and they left for the concert. Over the next few months, Rose continually asked Tyler to invite Kyle over to play games and hang out, which he did.

On December 15th, 2019, Rose, Tyler, and a few friends were set to do the Boston Santa Bar Crawl, and Rose wanted to make sure Kyle would be there- and he was. Kyle spent the day with everyone but stayed by Rose's side. That night, Kyle asked Rose on their first date, which became their anniversary. The picture above is Rose and Kyle on one of their first dates in the North End in December 2019.

Rose and Kyle spent the first year of their relationship navigating the pandemic, trying to align work schedules along with Rose's class schedule, and getting to know each other. Their love for each other grew over the years. In 2022, they decided to make the big move to Miami together. Moving 1,200 miles away from friends and family and living together for the first time, they truly began their life together.

Miami was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they made the most of the experience. Lots of trips to the beach, exploring South Florida, making friends, and inviting loved ones down to share in their new life. In October 2023, they adopted Lainey, the sweetest pup, who completed this little family.

On June 8th, 2024, Rose's best friend Kristina made the trip down to visit for Rose's birthday weekend. Kyle and Rose took Kristina to the lighthouse on Key Biscayne which was one of the first places Kyle and Rose explored after moving to Miami. Rose and Kristina took some pictures in front of the lighthouse, then handed the phone to Kristina to take pictures of Kyle and Rose, when Kyle got down on one knee and asked Rose to spend the rest of their lives together. It was an easy "Yes!"

Back in Boston, Kyle and Rose are so excited to begin this new chapter in their lives, and can't wait to celebrate with everyone who has loved, supported, and encouraged them along the way.
