Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Have you ever been driving down the road looking for your exit and notice how many signs there are? I mean really every few feet theres a sign for something. I quess I have gotten pretty used to blocking them out because there were signs when me and Kyle met and met and then met again. It wasnt until two people in our lives that are important to each of us, Kristin (my sister) & Noah (Kyles best friend) introduced us that we decided to take a chance, but lets back up and go over what the two of us obviously didnt put together for ourselves.
Sierra High Girls Varsity Basketball game and dont ask me who we were playing or if we won, So irrelevant. I was with my friends and we were having a conversation (girl gossip) about the weeks events and this strange boy just lands in my lap. I just smile as I realize its Kyle as he leaves I forget all about the encounter. Boys are just dumb everybody knows this.
Fast forward a few weeks and the boys were rough housing during some sports activity and Kyle ends up being pushed into me. This time when I turn around I am not so nice. I look him up and down the same way I look after stepping in gum.
With Love in the air and everyone living on cloud nine I end up with a two left foot having boy falling for me. Well not exactly, its now Valentines Day and some how this boy once again falls in my lap I cant help but be in a good mood so I help him up and send him on his way. I know what some of you are thinking? What is it going to take for these two to actually talk?
Well thats where my sister, Kristin and Kyles best friend Noah comes in. They formally introduced us. Like having him on my lap multiple times didnt count. From there it was non-stop snaps. (old people thats our version of texting, but we dont have to throw triangle pieces of paper across the room). The chats led to Face Time Calls (video chats like your ring doorbell, but with each other).

Sisters Scheming

When you have a best friend who is your ride or die and down to do anything until its bedtime. ;) We can come up with some extravagant plans let me tell you.
There was a camping trip coming up and there was no way I was going without trying to bring Kyle. There was one problem my mom had never met Kyle. We hatched a plan and set it in motion. Make sure mom is in a good mood. Clean the house. No problem we can do it. Sister power activated. Next make a slide show to introduce her to Kyle (most people would invite Kyle over for dinner, but...) back to the slideshow.. Oh but first there was dinner because a clean house and dinner waiting is a good mood setting. Something worked or we wore her down because look what we are announcing...
No but really that was the beginning of many things together late-night adventures, bald mountain trips, lake days, and tollhouse rock nights.
Then Life came between us, so we decided it was best to break things off. We both told each other the right person but at the wrong time. A couple of months later my mom said something I’ll never forget, “Chloe are you okay, I haven’t seen you smile since you were with Kyle”. At that point, I knew he was my soulmate. I had lost my smile and laugh, I lost my happiness. In a random act of God, Kyle ended up texting me a few weeks later asking me if I wanted to meet Luna, our German shepherd because I named her and hadnt gone to meet her yet. He asked me dogsit while he was at work. When he got off work he asked if I wanted to go to Jerry browns(to watch bull riding). I ended up getting Covid and he stayed with me and took care of me the whole time not caring if he got sick. Together we moved out on February 22, 2022 my senior ditch day, I was only 17 years old and Kyle was 19. We have been living on our own with the support of family. We got engaged on December 06, 2023.
