Kyle and Katherine’s story is a true modern love tale. They first met through Kyle’s freshman-year roommate at Grove City College and Maria (one of Katherine’s bridesmaids). Maria, playing matchmaker, tried to set up Kyle and Katherine. However, Kyle wasn’t keen on dating a 16-year-old high schooler at the time.

Despite Maria's best efforts, even telling Kyle that Katherine thought he was cute, nothing came of it then. But God had other plans. Two years later, Katherine enrolled at Grove City College. Kyle noticed her Snapchat story featuring a picture of the Grove City sign and thought, She found me cute two years ago; maybe she still does. He sent her a message saying, “Oh, you’re at Grove City now?” Katherine replied, and their budding relationship began.

Their first date, depending on who you ask, had its hiccups. They went to Katie’s Korner for ice cream, but it was cash-only, and Kyle didn’t have any. Luckily, Katherine did and covered the bill (though Kyle did Venmo her later, so technically he paid). Over time, they had several dates at Rachel’s Steakhouse, enjoyed drives around Grove City, and navigated a stint with COVID.

On October 31st, 2020, Kyle officially asked Katherine to be his girlfriend. Katherine’s yes marked the start of a 4-year journey filled with an abundance of memories!

Their relationship, deeply rooted in faith in God, felt nearly perfect. They often talked about marriage and eventually visited jewelry stores to pick out a ring. On May 4th, 2024, an early morning trip led to Kyle proposing, a moment Katherine may or may not have anticipated. A resounding yes, the ring fit perfectly, and the title of couple changed from boyfriend and girlfriend, to fiance and fiancee!

We cannot wait to continue our story and tie the knot on June 22, 2025!
